Don't let luggage weigh down your last day in Taiwan! Find out how an efficient hotel-to-airport baggage delivery service transformed my trip, offering freedom to explore.

Hello, this is Ongsang.
I was really pondering what to do on the last day of my Taiwan trip.
Hotel checkout was in the morning,
but my flight wasn't until the evening, so carrying my luggage around
felt a bit awkward and inconvenient.
I didn't want to waste the remaining time,
but at the same time, I didn't want to keep dragging my suitcase around.
While I could have left my bags at the hotel,
the thought of having to go back to the hotel to pick them up after exploring and then head to the airport
felt a bit inefficient.
So, I decided to look for a luggage storage service,
and to my surprise, I found a fantastic solution:
a Taiwan luggage delivery service that picks up your suitcase from your hotel
and delivers it directly to the airport!
There were several companies offering this service, and I chose to book and use the one operated by Mr.Luggage.
To cut to the chase, I was absolutely delighted with it because it allowed me to enjoy my last day much more leisurely.
What is Taiwan Luggage Delivery Service?

It's a service where you leave your suitcase at the hotel front desk,
a driver visits the hotel to collect it,
and then delivers it directly to the airport.
There are several companies in Taiwan that offer this kind of service,
and for this trip, I used Mr.Luggage.
Conversely, there are also services that deliver from the airport to your hotel,
or even from one hotel to another.
However, since I arrived at Taiwan airport early in the morning
and went straight to my hotel,
I didn't use those options.
Just Leave it at the Hotel Front Desk and You're Done!
After making a reservation in advance, I simply left my suitcase at the hotel front desk during checkout.
When leaving it at the hotel,
it's essential to inform them that a luggage delivery service
will be coming to pick it up.
The service I booked was Mr.Luggage's baggage delivery service,
and since all I had to do was leave my suitcase at the hotel, it was much simpler than I expected.
With the driver personally visiting the hotel to collect the luggage,
there was nothing else I needed to worry about.
Peace of Mind with a Collection Confirmation Email

After leaving my bag at the hotel, I was enjoying my sightseeing when an email arrived.
The company sent a collection confirmation email, and it even included an actual photo of my suitcase,
allowing me to immediately confirm that it had been safely picked up.
Since it was my first time using such a service, I was a bit worried, but getting updates on the status made me feel much more at ease.
If you have WhatsApp, they also provide real-time updates via the app.
My Last Day Was Incredibly Comfortable Without My Suitcase!

Without luggage, moving around itself
was so much easier.
Whether I was stopping by a cafe or going shopping,
I didn't have to drag my suitcase, and taking the MRT was also a breeze.
Best of all, I didn't have to go back to the hotel,
or return to a luggage storage facility.
That was truly the best part.
If you have an evening flight on your last day like I did,
I highly recommend using an airport luggage delivery service.
Pick Up Your Suitcase at the Airport, and You're Done!

After finishing my exploration, I headed to the airport and picked up my suitcase
at the Mr.Luggage collection counter.
I dropped my bag off at the hotel before 11 AM
and was able to collect it at the airport after 4 PM.
Depending on the date of use and the specific airport,
collection times may vary,
so I recommend checking this before making your reservation.
Collection locations differ by airport:
at Taoyuan Airport, it's the Luggage Service Counter at Terminal 1 MRT Station;
at Songshan Airport, it's near Exit E in the Departure Hall.
Picking up my bags directly at the airport felt incredibly seamless and relaxing!
Price Comparison by Booking Platform
While I was very satisfied with the service itself,
when I looked up the prices again while writing this post,
I noticed there's quite a price difference depending on where you book.
I originally booked through KKday, but after comparing now, Klook seems to be more affordable.
Booking for 1 Suitcase
Category | Klook | KKday |
Hotel → Taoyuan Airport | ~$15 | ~$22 |
Hotel → Songshan Airport | ~$13 | ~$22 |

For one suitcase,
the payment amount is less than ~$35,
so coupons cannot be applied.
Booking 2 Suitcases
Category | Klook | KKday |
Original Price | ~$30 | ~$43 |
Applied Coupon | Not applicable | KKSUMMER3K (~$-2) |
Final Payment | ~$30 | ~$41 |

My friend and I booked two suitcases (one each) through KKday
and paid ~$43.
(I didn't have a coupon then, so I couldn't apply it... a bit of a shame!)
Based on my current check,
Klook seems cheaper, but
promotions change frequently, so
I recommend checking both sites
before booking!
However, prices are based on New Taiwan Dollars (TWD),
so they might vary depending on the exchange rate.
Before booking, make sure to visit both links below
and compare the actual payment amounts.

Wrapping Up
While you could leave your luggage at the hotel,
if you want to minimize your movement on the last day like I did,
I highly recommend Taiwan's luggage delivery service.
In Japan, I always spent so much time and energy
searching for coin lockers. On this trip, with the scorching heat,
I definitely didn't want to do that.
I used the Mr. Luggage service on this trip
and was generally very satisfied!
Prices and coupon benefits vary slightly between booking platforms,
so compare both KKday and Klook
to book with the one that offers the best deal.
