Taipei Hotel Recommendations for Your Taiwan Trip
Three Amazing Value Stays I Absolutely Loved!

As the heat of summer fades in the latter half of the year, Taiwan's weather becomes delightfully crisp,
making it the perfect time to visit.
Taiwan is a land of diverse travel themes, catering to every kind of explorer,
which means your ideal accommodation location or
hotel type will vary.
Today, I'm thrilled to share three hotels from my recent Taipei trip that
I absolutely loved and found incredibly satisfying,
organized by theme!
Check Inn Express - Your Go-To for a Quick Overnight Stay
Check-in: 3:00 PM~
Check-out: ~11:00 AM
Accommodation Cost: ~$35~
Location: 7-minute walk from Taipei Bus Station
Highlight: Flexible early morning check-in available
Our first stop is Check Inn Express, conveniently located near Taipei Bus Station.
For those arriving in Taiwan on late-night flights,
this spot is perfectly situated near the Kuo-Kuang Bus drop-off point, plus it
allows for early morning check-in.
What's more, with rates around ~$35,
it's significantly more budget-friendly than places in Ximending,
making it absolutely perfect for a quick overnight stay!
While check-in is typically self-service via a machine,
when I arrived to check in around 2 AM,
a friendly staff member was there to help me out.
For its price point, the room was surprisingly spacious,
and had a wonderfully clean layout.
There was ample space to walk around comfortably,
even with two suitcases wide open!
The bathroom was also surprisingly spacious,
and even featured a rectangular bathtub inside! It's quite rare to find a bathtub in budget-friendly hotels in downtown Taipei,
so having a spacious tub here was a huge plus!
Even though I only stayed for a quick overnight stop,
the room was spacious and the quality was excellent,
making it a hotel I was truly thrilled with!
I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great value hotel, or those arriving in the early morning
and only needing a quick overnight stay.

Orange Hotel - Your Perfectly Located Ximending Stay

Location: 1-minute walk from Ximen Station

Next up is Orange Hotel, right in the heart of Ximending.
If you've ever scouted for hotels in Taipei,
you'll know it can be a challenge to find truly clean interiors.
What's more, in Ximending, where accommodation can be pricey,
it's tough to find a good hotel that's also reasonably priced.
Orange Hotel recently underwent a fabulous renovation, so from the moment you step into the lobby
to the guest rooms, everything feels incredibly fresh and spotless.
Plus, its location is unbeatable, right in front of Ximen Station,
It's a place that nails both location and cleanliness.
Just like the hotel's name suggests, as soon as you enter the lobby,
an orange-shaped character welcomes you.
From the modern, clean interior of the lobby
to the friendly staff, it instantly put me in a good mood.
Plus, there's a lounge on the basement level,
where snacks, fruits, and drinks are all available for free.
I really liked that perk!
The rooms generally had a warm, wood-toned ambiance,
and you could really tell they'd been recently renovated.
While the rooms weren't overly spacious,
there was definitely enough space to open two suitcases.
The toilet and shower areas had a unique layout, lined up straight near the entrance.
It seemed like they made the most of the space,
and the great thing was that the shower, toilet, and sink were all separated,
meaning they could be used simultaneously.
Another great advantage of Orange Hotel is that
breakfast is basically included.
It's provided in the form of coupons you can use at nearby Mos Burger or LOUISA Coffee, and some stores even allow you to use them in the afternoon,
which offered incredible flexibility with meal times.
The price ranges from around ~$104 on weekdays up to ~$138 on weekends,
so while it's not an incredibly budget-friendly option,
its cleanliness truly made it a hotel I was extremely satisfied with.
I'd highly recommend it to couples or
travelers with parents looking for a spotless stay!

Wulai Spring Spa Hotel - Perfect for a Hot Spring Retreat!
The last of our three hotels is the
**Wulai Spring Spa Hotel**, located in the Wulai Hot Spring Village
near Taipei.
Surprisingly, Taiwan is also famous for its hot springs.
Among them, the nearby Wulai Hot Spring Village is renowned for its carbonated hot springs,
and you'll find hot spring hotels dotted throughout the village.
The Spring Spa Hotel I stayed at is a bit further from the tourist center of Wulai,
but because of that, it's a hotel where you can enjoy
a private in-room bath and amazing views
at a great value price.
As expected from a spa hotel, the rooms are quite spacious,
with the bathroom and private bath facing the window.
The reason I chose this accommodation was
entirely because of the private bath in the room!
It was spacious enough to completely exceed my expectations,
and I could even enjoy the Wulai mountain view right from the bathroom.
Even though it's Taiwan, it felt like stepping into a Japanese anime,
with an atmosphere that just oozed charm.
The bathroom had the ambiance of a private onsen,
and the hot water supplied was natural water straight from a real hot spring,
making it the perfect temperature for a relaxing hot spring bath.
We booked our stay including breakfast,
and it was served beautifully in a Japanese bento box style.
Eating breakfast on the terrace felt like
having a meal right in the heart of nature.
Wulai Spring Spa Hotel was truly a place where you could indulge
in a complete hot spring hotel getaway, nestled in the mountains.
If you're coming to Taipei specifically for a hot spring hotel retreat with family or your significant other,
this is a hotel I wholeheartedly recommend!
