'A foot massage is a must-do in Taiwan!'
While it's a bit different from what you might find in Vietnam or Thailand, I found the pressure here to be incredibly refreshing.
This massage spot is perfectly situated to fit into your Taipei Main Station or Zhongshan itinerary.
✔️ Walk-ins are welcome, no reservation needed.
✔️ Open 24 hours, making it ideal for a late-night treat after visiting a night market.
Having visited Forest Spa three times during my Taipei trips, I'm excited to share all the details!
Forest Spa: Taipei Foot Massage

I visited the Forest Spa Zhongshan branch. This is a fairly large massage chain with several locations across Taiwan.
📍 Forest Spa
10491 Taiwan Taipei City, Zhongshan District, Kangle Village, Linsen N Rd, 263號3f
It's conveniently located if you're exploring the Zhongshan cafe district or staying near Taipei Main Station.
For night market enthusiasts, Ningxia Night Market is about a 15-minute walk away. I highly recommend scheduling your massage for the day you visit Ningxia Night Market, so you can relax your feet after all that walking and street food.
(After my massage, my legs felt so wonderfully relaxed that I didn't want to overexert them again, so I took a taxi back to my hotel near Taipei Main Station. It cost about ~$3 – just a heads-up!)
Taipei Foot Massage Prices
Do I need a reservation for Forest Spa?

Taiwanese massage and spa establishments can generally be categorized into local-style and premium options. Forest Spa falls into the premium price range, though it's still quite reasonable compared to other high-end spas.
Local-style places are often found on the ground floor of buildings, sometimes with active touting, and typically cost about 60% of premium prices.

✅ Pro tip: You can usually get about a 10% discount by purchasing tickets through Klook!

The Klook booking page suggests making a separate reservation with Forest Spa after purchasing, but many people, including myself, have successfully walked in without an advance booking.
With over 100 massage therapists and 24-hour operation, walking in was absolutely no problem.
The sheer size of the place, much larger than it appears from the outside, was a huge bonus for spontaneous travelers like me who often don't plan their next half-day!.
I showed my Klook QR code, was asked to wait in the lounge for about 5 minutes, and then a therapist came to lead me in right away.

I even saw a family of four show their Klook vouchers and get seated immediately. So, unless you have a specific therapist you want to request, walk-ins seem to be perfectly fine.

The restrooms inside are also very clean.
Foot massages are conducted in semi-open spaces, while other massage types take place in individual rooms. For aromatherapy courses, you even get to choose your preferred scent before starting.
My 90-Minute Taipei Foot Massage Experience
I visited three times: once for 60 minutes, then another 60 minutes, and finally a 90-minute session.

✅ I highly recommend the 90-minute session over 60 minutes – the course is slightly different!
Today's review will focus on my 90-minute experience.
This is where the foot massages take place, in rooms designed for 4-5 people. Each time I visited, they always left the seats next to me empty, alternating guests, which made for a very comfortable experience.

First, they bring you a warm cup of tea.

You'll enjoy a foot bath for about 3-5 minutes, which is NOT included in your massage time. They only start the timer for your actual massage once the foot bath is done and you're settled in. This attention to detail instantly built my trust in their service.
The timer was placed on the table where I could see it, running for the full 90 minutes.
✅ The 90-minute foot massage course includes 20 minutes of shoulder and neck massage, followed by 70 minutes for your feet.
Unlike many places that save the shoulders and neck for last, here they start with about 20 minutes of focused attention on these areas.
This was honestly SO refreshing!
It was a dry massage, with precise pressure applied exactly where it was needed – totally my style. And I appreciated that they used a towel for both the shoulder and neck massage, ensuring comfort and hygiene.

For the foot massage, the therapists wore thin gloves throughout the session. In Taiwan, it's quite common to see therapists use gloves or towels rather than bare hands, which is a neat cultural difference to observe!
Of course, a good massage often depends on the individual therapist, so I can't guarantee that all 100+ therapists at Forest Spa will be equally amazing. However, having visited Taiwan multiple times, this was hands down one of my best massage experiences ever.

I make it a point to visit massage-famous destinations like Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia every year, so I have pretty high standards when it comes to choosing a spa. And the therapist I had this time was definitely top-tier!👍
While prices in Taiwan are more affordable than in the US, they aren't as low as the ~$8-~$15 massages you might find in Thailand or Vietnam. Some travelers might skip a massage in Taiwan, but I urge you to definitely include a spa session at the end of your travel itinerary!
Even just a 30-minute foot massage can significantly boost your overall trip satisfaction.
🔻 Purchase your tickets with about a 10% discount before you visit 🔻
With my feet feeling completely rejuvenated, I was ready to explore the night markets again and enjoy Taipei late into the evening!
That concludes my review of Forest Spa!
