Sydney Accommodation Recommendation: CBD Apartment

On our recent Australia & New Zealand honeymoon,
I can confidently say this was **the #1 accommodation**
out of all the places we stayed at.
So, I'm excited to review Meriton Suites Kent Street, our Sydney accommodation.
Initially, even though it was Australia's off-season, the price seemed a bit high,
and I even considered other options.
But with such great reviews and an unbeatable location, I decided to go for it.
And I can tell you, my **satisfaction was incredibly high for all 5 days** we stayed there.

The Sydney accommodation I stayed at is located
right in the **heart of Sydney's CBD**.
It's just a 5-minute walk to Coles, 5 minutes to the Queen Victoria Building,
5 minutes to Paddy's Market, and close to a direct bus to Bondi Beach.
Plus, public transportation is all within a 5-minute walk.
The accessibility is outstanding, and with plenty of foot traffic around,
it felt **very safe and incredibly convenient to get around.**

Since Australia has a high cost of living and isn't particularly known for its traditional cuisine,
many travel reviews mention that people often
cook their own meals in their Sydney accommodations.
That's why there are so many recommendations for
Sydney apartments with cooking facilities.
The Sydney accommodation where I spent 5 days was also
**an apartment-style accommodation with cooking facilities.**
Beyond just cooking facilities,
it also came with a **dishwasher and a washing machine**!

If you **book in advance**,
you can even snag a night for around **~$131**

I actually made a last-minute booking,
so the accommodation cost for 4 nights and 5 days was approximately **~$773**, which is about **~$173 per night**.
So, the price point itself
certainly didn't feel cheap.
However, after experiencing it, I can say every penny was
**a worthwhile expense, not wasted at all.**
My satisfaction level was truly, truly high.
Sydney Accommodation Recommendation

The Meriton Suites Kent Street, which I stayed at,
is **ideally located right in the center of the CBD**.
It's a 5-minute walk to the tram stop,
and even a bus stop near the accommodation that goes directly to Bondi Beach was just about 5 minutes away.
**Seriously, you can pretty much walk to all the major attractions.**

How good was the location, you ask?
Well, **within a comfortable 10-minute walk,**
you can reach Paddy's Market and the Queen Victoria Building.
You can pop over there to shop as often as you like, just like grabbing a meal.
The Sydney Opera House,
and even the ferry terminal,
are all easily accessible by public transport,
making it super convenient to head out for a breathtaking night view!

I think it was called Cosmos Mart?
I don't have any interior photos because they asked not to take them, but either way, there's a Korean supermarket just a 5-minute walk away!
Even Coles, a renowned local supermarket, is also within a 5-minute stroll.
This meant I could pop out for groceries whenever I needed anything, without any fuss, and easily prepare meals.
Above all, considering Australia's incredibly high cost of living,
this Sydney accommodation is fantastic for saving on food expenses,
leaving you with more to spend on shopping!

The Sydney accommodation was located right in the heart of the CBD,
and the bus stop itself was just a 5-minute walk away,
making its public transport accessibility truly unbeatable.
This meant I could explore attractions without any worries,
moving around so freely that I visited over five places in a single day.
If my legs got tired from exploring the sights, I could easily pop back to the accommodation for a quick nap and then head out again.
When hunger struck, I'd return to the accommodation to cook a meal, then venture out once more, perhaps to enjoy the captivating night views.
I'd truly call this the ultimate accommodation for its location,
making it incredibly efficient for getting around and experiencing everything.
Meriton Suites Kent Street Review

This was truly an apartment-style accommodation, and starting with the bedroom, there was a comfortable queen-sized bed, along with a mirrored wardrobe directly opposite.
Inside the wardrobe, I found a safe, and on the right side of the bedroom, a huge, expansive window stretched across.
It was actually during my trip that the Vivid festival was on, so it was fantastic to watch the dazzling light show right from my window!
The wardrobe was well-equipped with an iron, a luggage rack, and plenty of hangers—everything you need to keep your travel essentials organized.

Now for the most important part: the kitchen, complete with cooking facilities!
It came equipped with a microwave, oven, dishwasher, gas stove,
refrigerator, freezer, dishes, and cutlery.
As a lovely welcome, there was a bottle of milk, and because they knew we were on our honeymoon, they even
gifted us a celebratory bottle of white wine!
All the tableware was impeccably clean and readily available, making it super convenient to use.
We often found ourselves preparing meals and enjoying them out on the "veranda" or similar spot.

If I had to nitpick for any inconvenience, it would be that the shower booth felt a tad narrow; my elbows occasionally bumped the wall when I was enthusiastically scrubbing my hair!
But even though it was compact, the water pressure was fantastic, and the hot water flowed beautifully—it almost feels silly to even call it an inconvenience!
I kept thinking how absolutely spot-on my choice was for this Sydney accommodation! If I ever get to travel to Sydney again,
I wouldn't even think twice—I'd book Meriton Suites Kent Street in a heartbeat.
If you book in advance, you can easily secure a night for around ~$120 to ~$140, so I strongly recommend making your reservation soon!
