Hi there, I'm Yuncooing! |
Checking out of my second accommodation,
and heading to my very last stay—
a self-catering hotel all to myself!
Since it wasn't too far, I dragged my two suitcases
and walked all the way there... haha 😂

8 Nights 10 Days in Sydney Solo Travel
Day 7
Checking out of The Fullerton Hotel, riding the ferry to Manly Beach, shopping for Ugg boots, and checking into Mantra 2 Bond Street

My home for 5 days and 4 nights, The Fullerton Hotel Sydney!
I didn't change the shower filter even once,
but I think this looks pretty clean, right? (?)

Enjoying one last breakfast,

packing up, and check-out complete!
Goodbye to The Fullerton Hotel Sydney—the location was absolutely perfect!
I left my two suitcases at the front desk
and took the tram to Circular Quay!
There's a tram stop right in front of The Fullerton Hotel,
so getting to Circular Quay was a breeze!

I couldn't visit Australia
without taking a ferry at least once! So,
I hopped on my first (and last) ferry of the trip.
Since you can just tap on the ferry
using a Travel Wallet card,
I didn't have to get a separate transit card. Sydney is so convenient to travel!

Feasting my eyes on the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House to my heart's content!

And just like that, I took the ferry over to Manly Beach all by myself!

Manly Beach is another famous beach in Sydney,
but it feels a bit more serene and quiet compared to Bondi Beach.
(Just my personal opinion!)
If you have a short itinerary in Sydney,
I'd recommend picking just one of the two!
Bondi Beach felt full of high-energy, outgoing crowds,
while Manly Beach seemed to attract people looking for a peaceful escape!

As soon as I stepped out of the Manly Wharf,
I caught a bus straight to North Head!

An easy bus ride to North Head!
Honestly, when traveling abroad, as long as you have Google Maps, you're 99% good to go lol 😂

The breathtaking view from North Head!
Highly recommended for those who want to find some peace
and enjoy some quiet contemplation!

I visited in November, during the transition from spring to summer,
and while it was quite windy, the sun was incredibly hot!
Keep that in mind when you plan your visit.

Taking the bus back down to Manly Wharf,
I admired the gorgeous soda-blue ocean views.
Seeing a group of little kids swimming in the ocean together
looked so incredibly fun and refreshing!

Spotted at a pharmacy in Manly Beach—
the authentic Lucas' Papaw Ointment!
Since this brand is known as the original,
I had been hunting specifically for this one.
But it was $7.99 each at the time,
so I decided to hold off on buying it here.

People soaking up the sun and tanning at Manly Beach!
There was a Thai restaurant right in front,
so I ordered Pad Thai, but
it was unexpectedly salty and not really to my taste.
Well, at least I got to enjoy a cold beer! haha 😂

Capturing the scenery of Manly Beach
with my trusty selfie stick!

To be honest, maybe because I did the Port Stephens Tour the day before,
my energy levels hadn't fully recovered yet (?)
So I kept my visit short but sweet and headed back to Circular Quay.

Goodbye, Manly Beach!

Next time, I'm definitely watching an opera at the Opera House... ⭐

I also bought some Uggs as souvenirs
at an Ugg shop I'd been eyeing during my 5-day, 4-night trip!

Dragging my Ugg boots and two suitcases
for a 15-minute walk...
Why on earth was it so exhausting? ... ⭐
(Well, obviously, haha)
As I was struggling up a hill,
a kind stranger actually helped me carry them! T_T

And with that, checked into my last accommodation!
I chose this place because it's a self-catering hotel
and located super close to Circular Quay Station!
I stayed at the Mantra 2 Bond Street Hotel for two nights.

Since I was having dinner alone,
and since I had a kitchen, I decided to cook for myself.
I bought a bottle of wine from a nearby shop
and picked up a pack of steak from the grocery store!

This massive tree... I totally would've taken a photo here if only I'd brought my selfie stick! ⭐

Back at our place,
first, a quick group shot of all the souvenirs we've bought so far! 📸

After a quick rest, it was time to cook!
Secret's out—we only bought this beef because it came with butter inside! 😉

Since my husband does most of the cooking back home,
it had been a while since I grilled steak myself.
I was a bit out of practice,
but it actually turned out surprisingly delicious!
I don't think they sell this wine back home,
but it was incredibly smooth and absolutely delicious!

We ended our Day 7 itinerary just like this—
sipping wine and cozying up with some Harry Potter!
Seriously, that wine was so good.
My only regret from this Sydney trip is not buying more bottles, haha. 😂
