Blue Mountains Sunset Tour

If you're gearing up for a Sydney adventure in the upcoming months, particularly around the fall holidays, there's one tour that consistently rises to the top of everyone's recommendations: the Blue Mountains!
If I had to pick just one excursion from Sydney, this would undoubtedly be my top choice.

For those of you pondering which Sydney tour to choose, I'm excited to share my honest, personal experience on a Blue Mountains Sunset Tour.
I paid for this trip myself, so you're getting an authentic review!

The Sydney Blue Mountains tour I embarked on offered the best of both worlds: a breathtaking sunset and an incredible stargazing experience. I initially thought it would just be another mountain range, but the landscapes, the vibrant sunset hues, and the dazzling night sky were truly unforgettable, unlike anything I'd seen back home.
Let's dive into the full itinerary and what it cost!

When you book your Blue Mountains tour, you'll often have the option to include Featherdale Wildlife Park. Since I had already visited Taronga Zoo, I opted out of Featherdale on this trip.
1. Sydney Blue Mountains Tour: Kings Tableland, Leura Village, and the Three Sisters
- A jam-packed itinerary, starting in the afternoon
- Visit the famous Three Sisters and Kings Tableland (also known as Jennys Rock)
- Temperatures drop significantly when stargazing, so a light puffer jacket is a must!

The Australia Infinite Tour I booked was fantastic because we started a bit earlier than most other tours, allowing us to explore without the huge crowds. This was especially noticeable at Kings Tableland!

When there's only one prime spot for photos and a lot of people, the waiting time can really add up. By arriving and moving efficiently, we managed to take all our pictures and were heading to the next destination just as the crowds started to pour in. Being an early bird truly pays off!

Our next stop was the charming Leura Village.
When I visited, it was transitioning from winter to spring, so many trees were just beginning to bud. Even so, the scenery was absolutely stunning!

And of course, no Blue Mountains trip is complete without seeing the iconic Three Sisters!
My travel companion was so amazed, they said they never imagined seeing this view in person!

Hearing the Aboriginal legend of the Three Sisters beforehand made the viewing even more captivating.

And then came the absolute highlight of this tour: witnessing the sunset and the magic of the night sky! This was the part I was most excited for, embracing both the sunset and stargazing elements of the tour. It seems each tour operator has their own secret sunset spot!

After capturing stunning photos at a magnificent viewpoint, we were given ample free time to simply relax and soak in the sunset. However, be warned: being in the forest, it gets seriously chilly after the sun goes down. A blanket, a light puffer jacket, and even hand warmers are highly recommended!

With the night views and a sky full of stars etched into our memories, our Blue Mountains tour concluded! It's an afternoon-to-night tour, so you might feel a little tired, but gazing at a sky overflowing with stars will make you realize that coming to the Blue Mountains was absolutely the right decision.

The Blue Mountains tour is undeniably a must-do for any Sydney itinerary! Keep an eye out for discounts, like the one I found, to make your Sydney trip even more affordable!

The tour starts in the afternoon, visiting Lincoln's Rock (famous as "Jenny's Rock"), Leura Village, and the Three Sisters in order. Afterwards, the itinerary includes enjoying the sunset, night views, and starlight at a secret spot exclusive to the tour.
You can freely choose whether to include Featherdale Wildlife Park when booking. If you plan to visit other zoos, such as Taronga Zoo, you can book the tour without the Featherdale course.
Due to the nature of the tour taking place in the forest, the temperature drops sharply after sunset and it gets very cold. Therefore, it is highly recommended to bring a lightweight down jacket, a blanket, and hot packs to stay warm.
Zoomzoom Tours is offering a 25% discount until August 31st. In addition, you can download an extra 5% discount coupon to book at an even more affordable price.
