Swissôtel The Stamford Review: Ultimate Marina Bay Views in Singapore
Looking for the perfect Singapore stay? Read our full 2026 review of Swissôtel The Stamford, featuring breathtaking Marina Bay views and unbeatable MRT access.

Looking for that iconic Singapore Marina Bay Sands view?
I recently spent two nights at Swissôtel The Stamford, and it did not disappoint.
Directly connected to a major shopping mall and the MRT subway,
this 5-star luxury hotel offers an unbeatable location.
Whether you're planning a romantic honeymoon or a special getaway in 2026,
this is one Singapore accommodation I highly recommend!
(I originally debated staying at Marina Bay Sands, but
since two nights here cost the same as one night there,
I opted for Swissôtel so I could actually look at the famous MBS skyline.)
1. Why This Hotel is a Top Singapore Pick

📌 Top Reasons to Choose Swissôtel The Stamford
· Directly connected to Raffles City Shopping Centre.
(Floors 1-3 of the hotel are the mall!)
· Seamless connection to City Hall MRT Station.
· Just a 10-minute walk to Merlion Park.
Inside Raffles City, you'll find popular spots like Bacha Coffee and Ya Kun Kaya Toast,
along with a large supermarket perfect for grabbing local souvenirs.
❗ Singapore's weather is notoriously hot and humid, so staying indoors
as much as possible is a game-changer. Having the MRT
station connected indoors meant we could travel in air-conditioned comfort.
It's incredibly central—Marina Bay Sands, Merlion Park, and Gardens by the Bay
are all just a stone's throw away.

2. Room Review: Premier Marina Bay View

📌 Room Types
Room Type | Bed Type | Room Size |
Premier King/Double Room | 1 King Bed / 2 Double Beds | 430 sq ft |
Premier Marina Bay King/Double Room | 1 King Bed / 2 Double Beds | 430 sq ft |
Signature Suite King Room | 1 King Bed | 538 sq ft |
The standard Premier rooms are divided into
City View and Marina Bay View!
I booked the Premier Double Room with Balcony
and Marina Bay View.
Personally, the whole point of staying at Swissôtel The Stamford
is to soak in that iconic skyline,
so I highly recommend spending a little extra for the Marina Bay view. 😂

At 430 sq ft, the room felt incredibly spacious, with plenty of room to work.
There's a comfortable sofa and lounge chair area,
making it the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy some late-night snacks or fresh fruit.

As expected from a 5-star hotel, the bathroom was massive
and impeccably clean.
It features a bathtub with both a rainfall showerhead and a handheld wand.
I appreciated the glass partition that kept water from splashing everywhere!

Stepping out onto the balcony gave us an unobstructed, breathtaking view
of Marina Bay Sands. It's stunning both day and night. 👍🏻
I visited during the off-peak season and paid around ~$385 per night.
(City view rooms are quite a bit cheaper.)
If you're visiting for a honeymoon or a special family trip,
I suggest splurging on 1-2 nights here
and balancing your budget with a more affordable hotel for the rest of your stay.
Between the location, room condition, and exceptional service,
I would rebook this in a heartbeat.

3. Check-In & Room Amenities

Check-in: After 3:00 PM / Check-out: Before 12:00 PM
❗ We arrived early at 11:00 AM and they kindly accommodated an early check-in!
I also managed to score a late check-out!
🍯 Pro Tip: If you ask the front desk about a late check-out,
they will often extend it to 1:00 PM for free.
If you need it until 6:00 PM, a 50% day rate applies.
You can always judge a 5-star hotel by its bedding.
The sheets here were crisp, plush, and incredibly inviting,
with a great selection of pillows to choose from. 😌
The amenities include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and hand wash,
plus everything else you might need: toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower caps, and a sewing kit.
It was so convenient not having to pack these.
The hairdryer was high quality, with adjustable heat
and speed settings, which is always a relief.
There's a Nespresso machine in the room, which was perfect
for an afternoon pick-me-up when we wanted to escape the midday heat!
❗ There's a built-in water purifier right next to the bathroom sink.
You can fill up your water bottles here before heading out,
and it's perfect for the coffee machine too.

Inside the closet, you'll find plush robes for the pool,
an iron, and slippers.
There's plenty of space to store your luggage,
and they even provide a large umbrella to borrow.
🍯 Pro Tip: There's an outlet conveniently located inside the closet.
If you plug your hairdryer in there, you can dry your hair
while using the full-length mirror on the door.
The slippers were thick and high-quality,
and they replenished them daily! 😊😊

🍯 Pro Tip: Singapore uses 230V Type G (UK-style) outlets,
but the room came with a built-in universal adapter
as well as direct USB charging ports.
Beyond Marina Bay Sands,
we could also see the National Gallery and Fort Canning Park
right next door. The panorama is simply incredible.
(For reference, I stayed in room 3558. The 51~58 room line
offers the prime Bay Views.)
4. Pools & Hotel Facilities

📌 Pool Hours: 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM
There are two pools in total, which are shared
with the adjacent Fairmont Hotel.
Given how intense the tropical heat can be,
dedicating an afternoon just to lounge by the pool is a must.

The fitness center and spa are on the same floor (8th floor) as the pools.
The gym here is honestly one of the largest
hotel gyms I've ever seen!
I also took a quick tour of the spa,
and as you can see in the photo, it's massive.
There must have been over 10 treatment rooms! ㄷㄷ
It looks like an amazing place to book a massage if you're traveling with family.
One of the absolute best perks of staying at Swissôtel is
the direct access to Raffles City Shopping Centre.
On the first floor, you have Bacha Coffee and Ya Kun Kaya Toast,
so you don't even have to leave the building for a world-class breakfast.
🍯 Pro Tip: There's a massive supermarket called CS Fresh.
It's the perfect spot to stock up on souvenirs like Colgate fruit toothpaste, IRVINS salted egg snacks,
Kaya jam, and Song Fa Bak Kut Teh soup packets!

There's also a TWG boutique on the first floor,
which is ideal for picking up luxury tea gifts or enjoying afternoon tea.
I also highly recommend checking out PREGO, an Italian restaurant on the ground floor!
We ate there on check-in day. Hotel guests get a 20% discount,
and their fresh handmade pasta is absolutely out of this world. 😋😋
We ended our nights by grabbing flat peaches, mangoes, and yogurt
from CS Fresh to enjoy in our room. Pure bliss.
We also devoured the fresh oranges provided as a welcome gift!
(Fresh orange juice is everywhere in Singapore,
and the local oranges are incredibly sweet and juicy.)
We truly lived in luxury for two nights (plus that late check-out!),
never getting tired of that mesmerizing Marina Bay Sands view.
The location is unbeatable, and the staff's warmth and hospitality
made the experience unforgettable.
Whether it's a honeymoon or a family vacation,
this is one Singapore hotel you won't want to miss!
