Whenever I travel abroad,
I absolutely love discovering hidden, hip spots and charming cafes.
So, naturally, today
I found myself having lunch
at a fantastic cafe in Surry Hills!
It's a place where I've found some truly amazing restaurants,
and it's even where I decided to stay.
Plus, it boasts a solid Google rating of 4.4!
And the best part?
There's a wonderful cafe
just a 5-minute walk from my accommodation!
It's conveniently located right in front of the famous Single O Cafe.

Outside
The area around here is dotted with famous spots,
including charming little galleries,
trendy showroom shops, and boutiques.

The atmosphere here is wonderfully calm, not bustling at all,
giving off a peaceful residential vibe.
During the day, you'll even see local office workers popping in
for a coffee break.

And just look at this incredible vibe!!!!

The moment I stepped inside,
I was greeted by an array of delicious breads and pastries.
The natural light streaming in through the large glass windows
was absolutely glorious!
Even though it was a surprisingly chilly September day,
the warmth inside was incredibly comforting.
And to top it all off, the staff were so wonderfully friendly, making the whole experience even better.
Just a heads-up for fellow explorers:
Australian cafes tend to open super early
but also close by 3 PM,
so make sure to get there early to make the most of your visit!
Interior & Seating

I was lucky enough to walk right in without any wait!
As expected from a fantastic brunch spot,
they offer a delightful menu featuring everything from classic brunch dishes
to pasta, burgers, and sandwiches.
Australia is globally renowned for its coffee, so
I was incredibly excited and full of anticipation!

The music selection here creates
a wonderful atmosphere.
Menu & Prices

Since we were having it for lunch,
Chicken Parmigiana Pasta (AUD 20) | Brekkie Deluxe Burger (AUD 22) | Coffee (AUD 6.5) Matcha Coco (AUD 11) |
We ordered these three items.
It came out to about ~$38, haha....
Dining out in Australia can be quite pricey,
which is why many travelers opt for hotels with kitchenettes.
For all that, ~$38 isn't too bad, right?

The Chicken Parmigiana Pasta was absolutely delicious!
It was topped with cheese, and the chicken was perfectly crispy, almost like a Japanese Tonkatsu.
I thoroughly enjoyed every bite!

The burger was pretty standard,
but those fries! They were so wonderfully thick and plump.
Absolutely delicious!

Beyond just the burger,
there were so many other healthy, flavorful,
and absolutely delicious dishes to choose from!

Everything was so delicious,
I'm already thinking about it and craving it again!

Oh, Australia is all about the coffee!
It had a lovely hint of acidity and a truly rich body.

Coffee, coffee, coffee! In Australia, I made sure to visit a Single O coffee shop,
and even checked out what's considered the world's number one coffee spot!

The matcha latte, though... let's just say it left a bit to be desired. A little too bland for my taste.
