Hello, fellow travelers! I'm Beaumaleng, your go-to travel influencer.
I recently returned from an incredible 7-day, 6-night adventure in Taipei! 🇹🇼
If you're currently hunting for the perfect place to stay in Ximending, you're in luck.
Today, I'm sharing my honest, unsponsored review of a fantastic hotel in the area.
🔎 What to expect in this Taipei hotel guide!
1 | Why Stay in Ximending? |
2 | Best Value Hotel Recommendation |
3 | Room Conditions & View |
4 | Amenities & Facilities |

When it comes to location, staying near Ximen Station is an absolute game-changer.
Ximending is the vibrant, beating heart of Taipei—think of it as their version of Times Square or Harajuku.
It's packed with incredible restaurants, endless shopping, iconic street food, and trendy cafes.
It's the perfect base if you want to stay out late and have a short, safe walk back to your room.

I wanted a place that was not only centrally located but also relatively modern and budget-friendly.
After digging through countless options, I booked the
Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Taipei Ximen.
🇹🇼 Why I Highly Recommend This Ximending Hotel 🇹🇼
✔ Prime location right in Ximending
✔ Relatively new and modern facilities
✔ Breathtaking city views
✔ Unbeatable value for the price!

Having opened in August 2023, the hotel feels remarkably fresh,
and the facilities are absolutely spotless.
(I definitely have a soft spot for newer hotels! 😉)
I was assigned a room on a high floor, and
the view completely blew me away.
Looking out over the sprawling Taipei skyline gave me
major luxury hotel vibes!
The price is also incredibly reasonable for the Ximending area.
I booked my stay for around ~$130 to ~$150 per night.
I compared several platforms and went with the one offering the best deal.

First off, the location is phenomenal—
less than a 5-minute walk from Ximen Station.
You can literally step outside and be right in the middle of the lively Ximending streets.
It made grabbing night market snacks and dropping off shopping bags so convenient!

Since it was our first day in Taipei, we arrived at the hotel a bit early.
It wasn't quite time to check in,
so we headed to the lobby to drop off our luggage.

The lobby was surprisingly spacious and beautifully designed.
It had a stylish, cafe-like atmosphere that
instantly put me in vacation mode.
There's even a complimentary coffee and tea station
where you can relax for a bit.

They also have a dedicated locker room for secure luggage storage.
We dropped our bags and immediately hit the streets
to grab some famous local rice noodles and bubble tea! 🧋
When we returned around 2:30 PM, the staff kindly allowed us to check in early.

We were assigned to a Twin Bed Room, number 2709!
Since it's a Japanese hotel brand,
the room had that signature pristine, well-organized feel.

The space was surprisingly generous—
we had plenty of room to fully open two large suitcases. :)
The beds were incredibly comfortable,
and the plush bedding ensured a fantastic night's sleep.

And another huge plus!
The TV supports screen mirroring, so we could easily cast YouTube from our phones.
I loved winding down at night watching my favorite travel vlogs in bed. 😗

There's a cozy table and sofa setup by the window, perfect for enjoying late-night snacks.
And when we opened the curtains... wow. The Taipei city skyline was right there.
Honestly, the view felt almost as good as the one from the Taipei 101 Observatory! 🫢
This hotel truly nails the perfect balance of affordability and luxury views.

They generously provided bottled water, an electric kettle, and a selection of tea and coffee.
Since cafe hopping in Taipei can add up, it was nice to enjoy a hot cup of coffee right in the room.

The room was also equipped with great amenities like comfy pajamas, an air purifier, and fast, free Wi-Fi.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay was right there.

The bathroom was immaculate,
featuring a separate shower area which made getting ready so much easier!

Super clean, and the hairdryer had great power—always a win!

You can request daily housekeeping, or simply ask for fresh towels if you prefer.
We stayed for two nights and opted for the full room cleaning service to get fresh towels.
Coming back to a perfectly made bed and emptied trash cans after a long day of exploring was wonderful.

For those who like to stay active, there's a well-equipped gym inside the hotel!
It's a great spot for a quick workout before hitting the night markets.

They also feature an ice machine and a coin laundry facility.
If you're on a longer trip to Taiwan, having on-site laundry is an absolute lifesaver!
✔ Prime Ximending location
✔ Spotless, modern facilities
✔ Stunning skyline views
✔ Incredible value for money
With so many perks, I can't recommend this place enough.
If you're looking for the best value hotel in Ximending, Solaria Nishitetsu is the clear winner!
