If you're planning a trip to Singapore,
there's one attraction you absolutely must experience:
the Singapore River Cruise!
Today, I'll be sharing how to book your Singapore River Cruise tickets,
our boarding experience, and even recommend some fantastic
nearby night view courses to enjoy alongside your cruise!
❗️Make sure to read on, as I'll also tell you how to book your tickets at a great price.
Singapore River Cruise Ticket Booking

The Singapore River Cruise is an activity that departs from Clarke Quay and takes you on a 40-minute journey past Singapore's iconic landmarks.
Since Singapore is a hot country,
I highly recommend taking the cruise after sunset
to enjoy the stunning night views, rather than during the day.

Especially if you board around 20:00 or 21:15,
just before Singapore's famous Spectra show begins, you can watch the show
right from the boat, doubling the awe-inspiring experience!

For the River Cruise, you'll need to purchase your admission tickets
in advance before boarding.
As you can see in the table below, booking through Klook is more affordable
than purchasing on-site.
Category | On-site Purchase | Klook |
Adult | 28 SGD (approximately ~$22) | ~$19 |
Child | 18 SGD (approximately ~$14) | ~$13 |

Additionally, if you book your cruise tickets in advance, you'll receive a voucher with a QR code.
Having this QR code makes it incredibly convenient to exchange it for a physical ticket
on-site and board immediately!

I hope you'll reserve your River Cruise tickets affordably in advance through the MyRealTrip link below and enjoy a comfortable boarding experience!

How to Exchange and Board River Cruise Tickets
Next, let me tell you how to exchange your River Cruise tickets
and board on-site.

Singapore River Cruise |
📍Operating Hours Mon-Thu: Departs hourly from 1 PM Fri-Sun: Departs hourly from 10 AM Last Departure: Mon-Thu (10 PM), Fri-Sun (10:30 PM) 📍Departure Location Clarke Quay Jetty 📍Special Notes Additional fees may apply for boarding at 19:30, 20:30 (Spectra Show times) (Adult 14 SGD, Child 10 SGD) |
The Singapore River Cruise operates daily, but from Monday to Thursday, you can board starting at 1 PM, and from Friday to Sunday, boarding begins at 10 AM.
So, you can head over to board according to your travel schedule.

At Clarke Quay jetty, if you present your pre-booked QR code,
they'll exchange it for a physical ticket.
With this ticket, you can board the cruise right away.
Since I booked in advance, it was super convenient to exchange it
without any complicated procedures!

The cruise boarding queue is divided into two lines,
and you should stand in the red line, labeled "Red line."
(The blue line is for group entry.)
Boarding happens in order, so if you want to snag a preferred seat,
you'll need to queue up towards the front early!
River Cruise Boarding and Night View Experience Review

As I mentioned earlier, you'll board the cruise in the order you queued.
I highly recommend trying to board at the very back of the cruise.
Since the main goal is to enjoy the night view,
you'll get a much better view from the outside of the cruise rather than inside.

As evening fell, the daytime heat faded away,
and a pleasant breeze made for a delightful boarding experience.
Plus, with the lights illuminating various landmark buildings everywhere,
it was even more stunning than during the day!

Gliding along the calm river, we passed The Fullerton Hotel and headed
towards Merlion Park, Singapore's iconic landmark.

One of the reasons I truly hope you'll experience the Singapore River Cruise
is because it's the only way to see the Merlion statue
head-on!
It was quite fascinating to see the Merlion statue from the front,
as I'd only ever seen it from the side with its mouth open.

Another highlight of the River Cruise is
the Marina Bay Sands night view.
If the Spectra show is on, it's an amazing spot to even catch the laser show
from here!
I couldn't board during the Spectra show time,
but Marina Bay Sands itself was so beautiful it left me in awe..!

From Marina Bay Sands, we circled back to Clarke Quay,
wrapping up our approximately 40-minute cruise!
What Else to Enjoy with Your River Cruise?

Besides the River Cruise, there's so much more to enjoy around Clarke Quay
as part of your Singapore night view itinerary.

First, I highly recommend going to try Chili Crab,
a dish you absolutely *must* eat when you visit Singapore.
There's a Jumbo Seafood Riverside Point branch near the River Cruise boarding area,
so I suggest making a reservation and visiting in advance!

Once you've filled up your stomach, you can enjoy Singapore's vibrant nightlife
by grabbing a light beer or cocktail at one of the pubs around Clarke Quay.

Beyond the pubs, you can also hop on the thrilling Slingshot ride!
If you've enjoyed the serene calm of the river cruise,
the Slingshot will let you experience an exhilarating rush of excitement!
The River Cruise: Not an Option, But a Must!

The Singapore River Cruise I introduced today is a quintessential attraction
for truly soaking in Singapore's romantic nightscape.
I highly recommend booking your River Cruise tickets affordably in advance
through MyRealTrip, and get ready for an unforgettable evening!
