Planning a Singapore trip with kids? The S.E.A. Aquarium on Sentosa is a must-visit to escape the heat! Get insider tips on finding the lowest ticket prices for 2026.

When you're planning a trip to Singapore, you probably have a few common worries, right?
Where can I go with kids who don't like the heat?
What if it rains?
Especially when you're starting to feel worn out by Singapore's humid and hot weather,
a cool indoor attraction is exactly what comes to mind.

If rain rolls in, you'll need an alternative indoor spot,
and that's where the Singapore Oceanarium (Aquarium),
or Singapore Oceanarium, comes in!

I've visited the Singapore Oceanarium every time I've been to Singapore.
Once the world's largest when it first opened,
it's now the fourth-largest in the world.
I'll share my review and even give you savvy tips for discounted tickets
– because paying on-site means you'll lose out!
Save on your tickets, and you can even treat yourself to an extra scoop of cool ice cream!

1. Why the Singapore Oceanarium (Aquarium)?

Singapore truly has so much to see,
but if you're heading to Sentosa Island, this spot is absolutely unmissable.
As a place that once boasted the title of the world's largest, it lives up to its name with an overwhelming
scale. Plus, in this hot, tropical country,
adding a few indoor activities makes exploring so much more enjoyable.
It's an absolute must-do, especially for families traveling with children!!
Among all the places to visit in Singapore, this is hands down my top recommendation.
(Even though this was my third trip to Singapore,
I made sure to visit it every single time!)

📍Way out after your visit!!
After exiting the gift shop, you need to head immediately right.
If you unconsciously go straight or to the left from the gift shop,
you'll find yourself at Adventure Cove Waterpark! Haha.
3. Impressive Scale

The shark tunnel you encounter right at the entrance is impressive,
but the true star of this aquarium is undoubtedly
the enormous main tank.
It creates the illusion that you're standing in the heart of the ocean,
and the sheer thrill of a massive manta ray gracefully gliding above your head
is beyond words!
You know getting that perfect 'life shot' here is an absolute must, right?

An army of over 200 sharks!!

In the 'Shark Seychelles' zone, you can encounter over 12 species of sharks.
As you walk through the transparent tunnel, seeing sharks swim directly overhead is incredibly thrilling!

Jellyfish Incubator

They raise various types of jellyfish here.
It was truly fascinating to watch them transfer the fully grown jellyfish to the main tanks outside.
