Maximize your Singapore Changi Airport layover in 2026! Find the perfect transit hotel or lounge for a refreshing stopover, whether you have a short or long wait.

When you're transiting through Singapore, you've got about four main options for accommodation:
1. Roughing it at the airport
2. Staying at an in-airport hotel
3. Opting for a hotel near the airport
4. Heading into the city for a hotel stay
Your choice will depend on your Singapore transit time, travel style, and personal preferences. I'll break down each option to help you decide!
1. Roughing It at the Airport
First up, if your layover or transit time at Singapore Changi Airport is short, you could simply rough it at the airport, or
for a more 'civilized' experience, head to a Singapore airport lounge. Here, you can grab a meal, relax on a comfy chair, and (depending on the lounge) even take a refreshing shower.
Just a heads-up, the shower stalls aren't plentiful or particularly spacious, and with people constantly moving around, getting truly restful sleep might be a challenge.
2. In-Airport Hotels at Singapore Changi Airport | Your Transit Oasis
If you're dreaming of a proper night's sleep, a real shower, and truly want to recharge, but your transit time is tight or the thought of leaving the airport feels like too much hassle, you'll be glad to know Singapore Changi Airport offers three fantastic in-airport hotel options.
Changi Airport is a major hub for travelers transiting to destinations like Bali, other Southeast Asian gems, and beyond, so it's no surprise that their transit hotels are incredibly well-equipped.
The **YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport Hotel** is conveniently located inside Singapore Changi Airport's iconic Jewel Changi mall, a true architectural marvel.
This means you can explore and enjoy all the wonders of Jewel Changi Airport while simultaneously recharging before seamlessly heading to your next transit destination. It's truly optimal!
Plus, with rooms accommodating up to four people, it's super convenient for families traveling with little explorers.
You'll also find a gym and a lobby bar to help you unwind.
However, do note that the rooms are quite compact, ranging from 10-19㎡, and many don't have windows. Despite this, the price, starting from around ~$207, can feel a bit steep.
And honestly, the 'lobby bar' isn't quite what you might expect from a typical hotel lobby bar – just a heads-up! 😉
It's best to think of this as a functional space purely designed for sleeping, resting, and getting refreshed.
Next up, we have **Aerotel Singapore**!
This fantastic hotel is directly connected to Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1.
You can book your stay in flexible blocks of 6, 12, or 24 hours.
It boasts more spacious rooms, around 32-34㎡, which is a real treat!
You can also indulge in amazing facilities like an outdoor swimming pool, a stylish bar, a rooftop pool (yes, a rooftop pool!), a restaurant, and a poolside bar.
It comfortably accommodates up to two guests.
Naturally, being more spacious and luxurious than the YOTELAIR, it comes with a higher price tag, starting from around ~$207 for a 6-hour stay.
While there are smaller 8㎡ single rooms available, even these are around ~$173 for a 6-hour booking, so honestly, there doesn't seem to be much reason to opt for the smaller room unless you're truly on a tight budget and want the amenities.
If you have a short layover in Singapore but still want to make the most of your time and desire more premium facilities and a more spacious environment to relax, then Aerotel Singapore is highly recommended for you!

And finally, we have the magnificent **Crowne Plaza Changi Airport IHG Hotel**!
This hotel is located inside Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3.
Among the transit hotels within Singapore's airport,
this one truly feels like a proper hotel... a fantastic choice, you could say!!!
It's super comfortable and boasts a 5-star rating.
You can easily walk to Jewel Changi,
and with the Skytrain to T2 and T1 right next door, getting anywhere in Changi Airport is a breeze.
The hotel's pool is fantastic, and the views are lovely.
While those other Singapore transit hotels might feel a bit more like temporary stopovers,
this Crowne Plaza Changi Airport IHG Hotel truly feels like a proper, luxurious hotel.
The rooms are spacious, they have windows, and you get great views.

While it might be about ~$69-~$104 more expensive than other Singapore transit hotels,
it's highly recommended if you're transiting through Singapore and want to truly experience the city, not just catch some sleep.
Especially if you're traveling or transiting through Singapore with kids,
I can't recommend the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel enough!
It starts from around ~$311, but you get spacious, comfortable rooms with large windows – it's just wonderful.
At the Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel Singapore,
you'll have access to everything you need: a stunning outdoor pool with great views, a bar, room service, and a fitness center.
There's even a lovely garden with plants within the hotel,
and you can take advantage of dry cleaning, laundry service, and room service.
3. Exploring Hotels Near Singapore Changi Airport
If you're transiting through Singapore Changi Airport,
you have the option to stay at a hotel near the airport,
rather than one directly inside.
I'm going to introduce some accommodations within an 11km radius of Changi Airport...
Most of these options are generally more affordable than hotels located inside Changi Airport,
offering the perks of larger rooms and windows.
Plus, if you're on a Singapore transit, you can enjoy a quick tour of the city/
explore nearby Singapore beaches/ or venture out to savor some delicious local food.
If the idea of transiting solely within Singapore Airport feels a bit too restrictive,
these hotels are a fantastic choice, especially if you're traveling with children and want a spacious area to freshen up, relax, and prepare for your onward journey.
The Dorsett Changi City Singapore Hotel, 7km from Changi Airport,
is actually the closest to Singapore Changi Hotel in terms of distance.
This 4-star gem boasts clean rooms, a really pleasing interior design, and exceptionally friendly service.
