Singapore Hybrid Package Tour 2026: Sentosa, Gardens by the Bay & a Free Day
Craving Singapore but dreading planning? Discover a 3-night, 5-day package that blends guided tours of Sentosa and Gardens by the Bay with a full day to explore on your own. Perfect for travelers seeking convenience and flexibility!
Singapore has always held a special place in my heart – I even lived there for a month years ago! Lately, I've found myself longing to go back.
Initially, I thought about planning a completely independent trip, but honestly, the thought of organizing every detail, from the itinerary to transportation, quickly became daunting. Who has time for all that?
So, I started looking into package tours and stumbled upon a fantastic 3-night, 5-day option that includes must-sees like Sentosa, the Supertree Grove light show, and Gardens by the Bay, plus a full day dedicated to free exploration. It sounded like the perfect compromise!

This kind of itinerary is ideal for travelers who dislike being constantly herded around on a rigid tour but also don't want the hassle of planning every single aspect of their vacation. It strikes a great balance.
While I haven't personally taken *this specific* package, I've thoroughly reviewed its proposed schedule and will share my honest thoughts based on the itinerary and my own extensive experiences exploring Singapore.

Sentosa: Island Fun & City Sights

Looking at the second day's itinerary, it's surprisingly packed with incredible sights! You'll start with iconic spots like Merlion Park, then dive into the vibrant cultural districts of Arab Street and Haji Lane. Afterward, it's off to Sentosa Island, where you'll enjoy a cable car ride, explore Siloso Beach, and visit the incredible Oceanarium.
From my previous visits, I can tell you that if Marina Bay offers a glamorous, urban feel, Sentosa definitely delivers a relaxed, resort-like vacation vibe. It's a fantastic contrast!

The new Oceanarium (which replaced the former S.E.A. Aquarium) is a highlight, and I'd certainly want to check it out if I went back. Lunch is planned as a delicious steamboat meal, followed by a Peranakan-style dinner. In the evening, you'll wander through Bugis Street before heading to the Supertree Grove for its mesmerizing light show.
One of the biggest perks of this package is the convenience. You won't have to individually look up tickets and transportation for Sentosa's attractions; everything from the cable car to the Oceanarium is bundled together, making it incredibly easy.

If you were planning this yourself, you'd have to meticulously map out the order of visits and transportation. But with this package, your day flows seamlessly from Sentosa's daytime attractions to Singapore's dazzling nightscapes.
You'll also enjoy the comfort of a 4-star stay at Aloft by Marriott Singapore Novena for all three nights, meaning no tiresome packing and unpacking to switch hotels.
And here's a huge plus for me: I'm not a fan of being dragged to mandatory shopping centers on package tours. This itinerary explicitly states it's a NO-SHOPPING tour, which is a big win!

Your Day, Your Way: The Free Itinerary Day
What truly sold me on this particular package is Day 3. After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, the entire day is yours – completely free of guides and scheduled activities. Lunch and dinner aren't pre-arranged either, giving you total freedom to explore exactly as you wish!
Often, package tours include all the major sights but leave you with little to no free time, which can feel incredibly restrictive.

With this itinerary, you have a whole day to fill with whatever your heart desires. If it were me, I'd revisit the beautiful Marina Bay area, strolling along the waterfront. For dinner, I'd head to Lau Pa Sat for some delicious satay and a refreshing beer – I loved the atmosphere so much I went twice during my month-long stay!

If you're not in the mood for more sightseeing, you could simply relax at the hotel, explore local cafes, indulge in some shopping, or hunt for hidden culinary gems. Just remember to budget separately for your personal transportation and meals on this free day.
On the flip side, if you're someone who prefers every single minute of your trip to be planned for you, this free day might require a bit of extra effort on your part. However, for those who want the ease of a guided tour for most of their trip but crave at least one day to follow their own whims, this blend seems absolutely perfect.
Gardens by the Bay: Day & Night Wonders
The final day of sightseeing kicks off with a visit to Southern Ridges, followed by a savory Song Fa Bak Kut Teh lunch, then the magnificent Gardens by the Bay (including the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest), and finally, a stroll through Orchard Road and Little India.
Since you'll have experienced the Supertree Grove light show on the second night, this day offers the fantastic opportunity to explore Gardens by the Bay's incredible conservatories by daylight, essentially giving you both a day and night perspective of this iconic attraction.

Song Fa Bak Kut Teh is also included in the itinerary! I tried it by chance once while exploring Chinatown, and the tender pork and familiar, comforting broth reminded me of a hearty beef stew. It was one of my favorite Singaporean dishes.

After immersing yourself in Gardens by the Bay, you'll visit Orchard Road for some upscale browsing and then delve into the vibrant culture of Little India. Following dinner, it's off to the airport. It's great that even after checking out, you still get a full day of exploration rather than heading straight to the airport.
A quick heads-up: current package information indicates that maintenance dates for the Cloud Forest might overlap with your travel period.

The tour operator states that if either of the two domes is closed for maintenance, the Gardens by the Bay visit will be rescheduled to another day in your itinerary. Also, while it's a NO-SHOPPING tour, remember that guide and driver tips of ~$40 USD are separate, and any optional tours you choose to take will also be an additional cost. It's always good to be aware of these details before booking!

The Verdict: A Balanced Singapore Adventure
For me, the standout feature of this package is definitely the inclusion of a full free day. You get the best of both worlds: guided tours to all the main attractions, a consistent 3-night stay at one hotel, and no frustrating detours to shopping centers. This significantly cuts down on your pre-trip planning stress.

However, do keep in mind that the expenses for your free day, the ~$40 USD guide and driver tips, and any optional tours are separate costs you'll need to factor in.
If you're looking for a package that offers the convenience of organized travel but still allows you the freedom to explore at your own pace for a day, I think this kind of itinerary is an excellent choice for a memorable trip to Singapore!
