Sentosa Island Hotels, Singapore
Siloso Beach Resort Pool

I'll be honest: I booked the Siloso Beach Resort in Sentosa entirely because of its incredible pool.
While many flock to Sentosa for Universal Studios or the massive water parks, I was craving a more laid-back, tropical vacation vibe. I wanted a lush, atmospheric pool where I could just unwind, and this place delivered perfectly.

The resort is located right in front of Siloso Beach. As the afternoon heat breaks, it's the perfect spot to catch a stunning sunset and grab a cocktail at one of the nearby beach clubs.
Let's talk budget. The major mega-resorts nearby can easily set you back ~$385 a night, which is pretty steep if you're a budget-conscious traveler in your 20s or 30s.
If the bustling downtown Singapore feels a bit too stifling and you want a true tropical resort experience without breaking the bank, I highly recommend Siloso Beach Resort.
You are going to be thrilled with both the price tag and the gorgeous pool!
How to Get to Sentosa Island
Singapore Sentosa Hotel Guide
Wait, what exactly is Sentosa?
If you've only ever heard of downtown Singapore, Sentosa Island might be a new concept for you.

While downtown Singapore is all about
futuristic landmarks and dazzling city nightscapes,

Sentosa Island is your go-to for
thrilling activities, pristine beaches, and resort relaxation.
It's a completely different flavor of travel.

Getting to Sentosa Island is incredibly simple.
You just need to hop on the Sentosa Express Monorail from VivoCity mall.
It takes a mere 8 minutes to cross over into island paradise!

There's a physical ticket booth at VivoCity for same-day purchases.
However, if you want to skip the lines and breeze through with a mobile QR code,
I highly recommend booking your tickets in advance.
You can grab yours here:
🔗 Klook Sentosa Monorail Express

Once you step off the monorail on Sentosa Island,
you'll find shuttle buses that stop at every station.
The best part? They are completely free!
You can explore the entire island without spending a dime on transit.

Siloso Beach Resort is super accessible.
It's an 8-minute walk from the monorail station,
or you can take the free shuttle and hop off at the Siloso Beach stop—the resort is right there.

Tucked away inside the resort is this incredibly lush, jungle-style pool!
As soon as you walk into the hotel lobby,
you'll be greeted by this gorgeous view.

I booked a Superior Room for around ~$115 a night.
That breaks down to an amazing ~$54 to ~$62 per person, which is an absolute steal in a notoriously expensive city like Singapore.
It took so much pressure off our travel budget.

Rooms & The Famous Pool
Singapore Sentosa Hotel

I stayed in a Superior Twin Room.
To be completely transparent, the property does show its age a bit, but it has a charming, rustic feel to it.

It came equipped with everything we needed: fresh towels, a hair dryer, a clean shower, and a TV.
We were very comfortable during our stay.

Also, despite being surrounded by nature, we didn't have any issues with bugs in the room!
One quick tip, though:
You might want to pack your own preferred shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The provided ones are a bit basic!

The real star of the show here is the pool.
It is incredibly long, wide, and has this rare, immersive tropical vibe.
Honestly, the pool alone makes up for the slightly older room facilities! Haha.

Isn't it stunning?
There are plenty of sunbeds lining the sides, so my advice is to drop your bags at check-in and run straight to the water!

At a quick glance, you might even think you're in Bali :)
Things to Do Nearby
Exploring Sentosa Island

When night falls on Sentosa Island, you definitely need to step outside.
The entire island transforms into an entertainment and nightlife paradise!

We started our evening by watching the sunset
right on Siloso Beach, just steps from the resort.

Afterward, we wandered into a nearby beach club
for some cocktails and a casual dinner :)

While others were fully embracing the bikini club-party scene,
we were perfectly content people-watching with our pizza and beer. Haha.

Honestly, you can probably see all of downtown Singapore
in a single day if you rush.
But Sentosa Island is where the real vacation happens!
From adrenaline-pumping activities and sights
to relaxing beach resorts... 💛
If you are looking for that sweet spot of ~$54-~$62 per person,
Siloso Beach Resort is my top recommendation!
