An honest 2026 review of Lotte's luxury 5-star hotel, Signiel Busan. Discover why the gorgeous Mipo Port views and top-tier service make it the ultimate Haeundae getaway.
One of Busan's most iconic 5-star hotels,
Signiel Busan by Lotte.
Even though it was peak season on a weekend in late August,
I managed to book a stay at a surprisingly reasonable price!
The room condition was just as spectacular as I had hoped,
and between the gorgeous Mipo Harbor view and the incredible hospitality,
my Busan trip felt incredibly special. Here is my honest, fully self-funded review of Signiel Busan.

Signiel Busan Exterior & Views

Right at the edge of Haeundae Beach,
near Mipo Harbor, you'll find Signiel Busan.

It's not right in the middle of the main beach,
which actually made it much less crowded and more relaxing for a swim,
plus you get to enjoy stunning views of Haeundae from either a Mipo Harbor view or a classic ocean view.
1st Floor Lobby

The entrances for LCT Residence, Club d'Oasis, and Signiel Busan
are quite close together, so make sure to keep an eye out so you enter the right one.
As soon as you step into the lobby, the staff immediately help you with your luggage
and guide you toward the check-in area.
You'll find the front desk just past the concierge.

The interior design beautifully captures the essence of Busan with a luxurious touch.
It looks like you can access the breakfast buffet and the convention halls
by taking the escalators upstairs.

There are various seating areas arranged around a gorgeous ocean-inspired art installation,
but they are somewhat limited,
so there wasn't any space to sit during peak check-in hours.
I've heard some say the lobby is on the simpler side compared to other 5-star hotels in Busan,
but since I haven't stayed at the others yet, I thought it was perfectly lovely.
Check-in: 3:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM

After a quick check-in process at the front desk,
the staff personally escorted us to our room while handling our bags.
Honestly, Signiel Busan has to be right up there
among the absolute friendliest hotels in Korea.
Everyone greets you with a warm smile and is incredibly welcoming.

I totally got distracted by the delicious-looking bakery on the way...

We had two incredibly heavy suitcases,
but the staff member carried them so effortlessly. It was so impressive!
Big thumbs up! 👍

The hallways were surprisingly wide and long,
giving off that grand, premium feel you'd expect from the Signiel brand.
From the hallway carpets
to the artwork, carpets, curtains, bedding, and pillowcases in the room,
everything is unified in a cohesive, ocean-wave color palette,
which leaves an even more luxurious impression.
Grand Deluxe Double Room - Mipo Harbor View (Dalmaji-gil View)
Complimentary access to Salon de SIGNIEL Lounge, Indoor & Outdoor Pools, and Kids Lounge

We were assigned Room 1123,
and this is the view that greets you as you step inside!
The staff member even kindly walked us through all the room features.

I expected the foot of the bed to face the window,
but the layout was actually different, which I liked even better!
Since we checked in right around dusk,
we caught a stunning view of the sun setting right over the horizon.

Here is what it looks like during the day!
Even though we are right by the beach, there isn't a hint of dampness or humidity in the air.

The bedding was incredibly plush, supportive, and comfortable.
It's easily one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in!
The pillows were so cozy, I felt like I was melting into them...

If there is one minor drawback, it's that the air conditioning isn't super strong,
but since it doesn't blow directly onto you, you don't have to worry about catching a chill.
The room cleaning service was also absolutely spotless.

There are nightstands on both sides of the bed.
They provide a clock and a Bluetooth speaker,
along with charging ports and a liquid mosquito repeller.
There is also a separate remote control to operate the curtains.

True to its 5-star rating, the room comes with not only mugs
but also wine, whiskey, and sparkling glasses, as well as silverware.
Even the cups are perfectly color-coordinated with the room's aesthetic!

Two bottles of Evian, capsule coffee, and signature Signiel tea bags are complimentary,
while the rest of the minibar items are paid.
We initially asked to have our complimentary welcome tea set delivered later,
but I completely forgot to request it again...
and ended up missing out on it. Sob sob... 😭

Alongside the room service menu,
there is a small desk set up, which is very convenient if you need to get some work done.

Thoughtful details like bathrobes, a large umbrella, and a safe
are all meticulously prepared.

The Bathroom

The bathroom layout features
a private toilet stall on the left, a central vanity, and a bathtub/shower area on the right.

The water pressure is fantastic, and the hot water comes out super fast.
Even the tissue box and drawers
are color-matched to the ocean waves. Talk about extreme attention to detail!

The bath amenities
are all from Diptyque!
They even provide bath salts,
which I definitely put to good use.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of showering inside a bathtub,
but the tub was quite spacious, so it was actually pretty comfortable.
The quality of the bathrobes is top-notch,
and the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner are all Diptyque too!!
Mipo Harbor View

There's quite a price difference between the Ocean View and the Mipo Harbor View,
so I'm sure many of you are debating which one to book.
But even if it's not the main Haeundae Beach view,
🏷the Mipo Harbor View still offers beautiful views of the sea and the horizon,
and you can even see the cute Sky Capsule trains passing by!
It’s honestly a fantastic alternative.

The view from the terrace vs. through the window!
Mipo Harbor has its own unique, beautiful charm at sunset.

An endless line of hotel rooms...
If you factor in the LCT residences and local residents,
there must be a massive number of people staying in this complex.

This time, I was so busy swimming in the sea that
I didn't even get to use the hotel amenities, especially the pool...
Well, that just gives me a perfect excuse to visit again! haha
8th Floor: Salon de SIGNIEL Lounge
Champagne Happy Hour: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

One of the best perks of staying at Signiel Busan is that
all guests get access to the Salon de SIGNIEL Lounge!
The Champagne Happy Hour runs from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

It's located on the 8th floor,
and there's no limit on how many times you can visit.
Previously, if there was a wait,
you could get a to-go box instead,
but they've recently discontinued that service.
However, you can still hang out in the lounge while waiting to check in!

They have separate areas for families and adults-only.
The family zone shown here is on the larger side,
but I preferred the vibe of the adults-only section, so that's where I headed.

This is the adults-only lounge.
The lounge offers a scenic view of Mipo Harbor, which you can also see from the rooms.
While it's not the main Haeundae beach view, it is absolutely gorgeous.

It's the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some quiet, peaceful time.
During the regular daytime café hours,
the selection focuses on light cookies, coffee, and soft drinks.
Since I arrived right at the transition to the evening Happy Hour,
I was lucky enough to experience a bit of both!

Once the Happy Hour kicked off,
the daytime cookies were cleared away,
making way for savory finger foods and a fantastic lineup of champagnes.

The daily selection is updated on a tablet and seems to change regularly.
They mainly focus on Champagne & Sparkling Wine,
ranging from sweet to crisp and dry options.
The lineup for my visit was:
* Lambrusco Rosato Amabile
* Veuve Ambal, Diamor
* Lambrusco Rosso Amabile
* Pommery Brut Royal

The snack spread featured cheeses, various seaweed crisps (bugak), crackers,
nuts, and truffle potato chips.
Honestly, those truffle potato chips were absolutely insane... (in the best way possible!)

To be honest, I tried going during Happy Hour the previous day,
but gave up because the waitlist was way too long.
The next day, arriving around 4:30 PM worked out perfectly.
The place filled up incredibly fast as soon as the drinks started flowing!
The Surrounding Area
The Signiel building is a massive landmark you can spot from almost anywhere in Haeundae.
The LCT mall inside the complex is super convenient, housing a pharmacy, Olive Young (for K-beauty), Club D Oasis, a GS Market, and more.
It's incredibly handy if you need to grab anything during your stay.

Best of all, you can cut right through the mall to get to Haeundae Beach!
Since the mall closes around 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM,
you'll have to take the long way around late at night. But...

during the day, it's an absolute lifesaver
when you're heading back and forth to swim in the sea!

Yes, children are allowed as the lounge is divided into a family zone and an adults-only zone. The family zone is designed to be more spacious than the adults-only zone.
