beloved Fukuoka spots like the Nakasu Yatai (food stalls)
and some smaller eateries still only accept cash.
So, having some Yen cash on hand is always a good idea!
In the past, we often exchanged currency in our home country before flying,
but now, with just one travel card, you can withdraw Yen from local ATMs without extra fees,
making things so much more convenient!
Today, I'm going to walk you through the process, step by step, so even if you're new to travel cards,
you won't get confused about how to withdraw cash from Seven-Eleven ATMs in Fukuoka!

How to Withdraw Cash and Exchange Currency at Seven-Eleven ATMs in Fukuoka
The easiest place to withdraw Japanese Yen with your travel card in Fukuoka is
at a Seven-Eleven ATM.
Seven-Eleven ATMs in Japan operate 24 hours a day,
and they even offer Korean language support,
so even first-timers can use them without any trouble.
You'll find plenty of Seven-Eleven stores throughout Fukuoka city,
especially around Tenjin and Hakata Station,
so you can easily drop by one that fits your travel itinerary.
1. Insert Your Card into the ATM
Insert your Shinhan Sol Travel Card into the Seven-Eleven ATM.
2. Select Your Language
You can select your preferred language on the screen.
If you choose Korean, all subsequent instructions will appear in Korean, making it much easier to navigate.
3. Choose Your Transaction Type
Press the [Withdrawal] button that appears on the screen.
4. Confirm Fees
If a fee guidance popup appears, please press [Confirm].
Thanks to card benefits, no actual charges were made.
5. Select Account
I proceeded by selecting 'Skip' here and withdrew the money.
6. Enter PIN
Enter your 4-digit card PIN.
If it asks for 6 digits, try adding '00' at the end.
(e.g., 1234 + 00)
7. Enter Withdrawal Amount
Select the desired JPY amount or enter it manually.
8. Select Transaction Method
Select [Proceed without currency exchange now]
9. Receive Cash and Card
Just follow the on-screen instructions to receive your cash and card, and you're all done!
