Shangri-La Hotel Sydney
I had breakfast at
Cafe N Mix on the 1st floor.
While you can book a hotel
package that includes breakfast,
the breakfast
is a bit pricey.
So, I didn't include it
in my reservation, and just went down
to eat it separately just once.
On weekends
or during peak season, there's a chance of a wait,
so it's a good idea
to book in advance
with the hotel staff.

Only on weekdays, you can find a truly special experience.
Imagine gazing at a beautiful harbor view
while you dine!
From Monday to Friday, on the 36th floor,
at Altitude Restaurant,
you can also enjoy your breakfast there.
Interior Atmosphere, Seating

Head to the left side of the 1st-floor lobby,
and you'll find your way in.
There's quite a lot of seating, but
about 30 seats were
completely full when I visited.

Pricing
Weekdays: 57 AUD per person
2 people for 104 AUD
Weekends: 67 AUD
Breakfast is a bit more
pricey than you might expect.
When I entered, I told
the staff member my
room number,
and settled the payment
all at once when checking out.
They gave me a receipt.
Operating Hours
Mon-Fri: 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Sat-Sun: 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Breakfast Buffet Food

There's a wide variety of salads,
and plenty of sauces too.

You'll find salmon,
along with sauces,
ham,
and even spring rolls.

There were also beans
and roasted mushrooms.

There's a real honeycomb!

What kind of sauce is that on the pancakes?
They have such a variety of sauces here!

Bacon and
hash browns!

There were even three kinds of sauces...
And for bakery items,
there's a huge variety including
pound cake, white bread,
croissants,
baguettes, and more!

Perhaps because bread is a staple,
there was truly an amazing selection of
different breads!

There were also meatballs and
dim sum!
They even had Chobani yogurt,
famous in Australia,
in various flavors –
it was so delightful
to try!
There were blueberry, strawberry, plain,
and fig Greek yogurts.

A staff member came over and asked if I'd like to choose from
coffee,
omelets, fried eggs, poached eggs,
or boiled eggs.

So I ordered a latte
and tried a fried egg.
These items are included
in the price!

There wasn't any rice or noodles,
but there was plain porridge.
And even kimchi was available!
Chobani yogurt is
needless to say, delicious, and
the food in general, and the coffee in particular,
are tasty.
The fruit is certainly fresh.

There was also a good variety of fruits,
including melon, watermelon, strawberries, grapefruit,
oranges, kiwi, and apples.
Freshly squeezed lemon and apple juice
and about four types of milk
were available,
and the milk
was incredibly rich and flavorful.
While not extravagant,
it was a satisfying meal
that truly delivered on the essentials.
