the Shanghai Yu Garden Influencer Makeover Experience that was the main purpose of my trip to Shanghai, China.

My bucket list 'Influencer Makeover Experience' that everyone says you *must* do when visiting Shanghai ✨️
Honestly, I decided to visit Shanghai more for this influencer experience than for the food, so I was very careful in choosing the right company.
My selection criteria? Glamour! ✨️
Even though it was a sponsored post,
I researched thoroughly on Instagram before making my choice. ✨️
A Wide Variety of Outfits
You might think, 'Aren't all Yu Garden influencer studios pretty glamorous anyway?' But even if they seem similar, the details are different when you look closely, right?
Personally, I really liked the outfits at Zhiming'a Zhuangzaofang,
I really dislike being cold, you see?
And since it's winter now, I kept seeing all these light and flowy influencer outfits,
which made me worry if I'd truly enjoy the experience in the cold.
But then I discovered winter outfits on Zhiming'a Zhuangzaofang's Instagram,
and that really sealed the deal for me! Haha.
After contemplating these two options,
I chose the outfit on the right, which looked warmer because of the cold.
Moreover, Zhiming'a Zhuangzaofang also has a wide variety of men's influencer outfits,
so it seems like a great place for couples too.
Glamorous Accessories and Props
I told you my selection criteria was 'glamorous,' right?
To be truly glamorous, the outfits need to be splendid,
but the hair accessories should be equally dazzling, wouldn't you agree?
Zhiming'a Zhuangzaofang has a diverse and opulent collection of accessories,
and it felt like more accessories kept appearing from somewhere!
It was absolutely fantastic-!!
When taking photos, they also use a wide variety of props,
and this place was the epitome of variety.

The lighting was sparkling, and the hair & make-up area was very clean.
I know there was a lot of chatter about whether the makeup puffs were clean or not when getting the 'Wanghong' look in Shanghai, but here, they're spotless ❤️!
In fact, knowing they use disposable puffs was a big factor in my decision ❤️.

But I knew it would turn out beautifully, so I wasn't worried, right?!
My eyes sometimes tear up when I get eye makeup done,
but this time they didn't, which was truly amazing.

From the makeup to the hair accessories, everything was absolutely perfect and I loved it.
I usually don't take many selfies, but I loved the hair and makeup so much,
I feel like I took a million, don't you think?!

I love taking photos, but I'm usually so awkward, you know?
The photographer kindly taught me poses,
showed me the shots on the camera periodically, and
shot with such passion, even getting soaked in the rain for me.

They said the retouched photos I requested would take a week, but they finished them super quickly, didn't they?
My Own Retouching
They said it would take a week if I requested retouching,
so for my blog post, I just roughly retouched them myself, even though I have no idea how to do portrait retouching.
When comparing with the photographer's work, my skills are definitely lacking, haha,
but I loved all the photos so much that I'm just uploading them anyway ❤️!
So, the bottom line is, I was absolutely satisfied ❤️!

My fellow explorers, you know I love taking photos, right?
In my home country, just getting hair and makeup done costs around ~$83-~$104,
but the Shanghai 'Wanghong' experience is similarly priced for hair, makeup, costume, photoshoot, AND retouching!
So, it's absolutely perfect for creating unforgettable memories, isn't it?
In Korea, a concept shoot like this usually costs around ~$345...
Even when you factor in airfare, the 'Wanghong' experience is still more affordable...
There's absolutely no reason not to do it... 😂

✔︎ Shanghai Wanghong Experience at Jimaengajangjobang Review
It was wonderful that booking in Korean was an option,
and even at Shanghai's Yu Garden for hair, makeup, and the photoshoot,
not knowing Chinese or English wasn't a major issue at all.
The staff were kind, and the outfits and accessories were gorgeous, so I highly recommend it.
Plus, there's a place to store your belongings, so it was super convenient to leave my bags and enjoy the experience worry-free.
If you're heading to Shanghai, I wholeheartedly recommend trying the 'Wanghong' experience at Yu Garden's Jimaengajangjobang!

Zhiming Azhang Zhaofang's official operating hours are from 10:00 to 21:30, Monday to Sunday. However, during recent visits, it has sometimes operated until 22:00, so we recommend confirming again.
Reservations for Zhiming Azhang Zhaofang can be made via WeChat. If WeChat registration is difficult, you can also book through Instagram DMs or Threads. Korean communication is possible when making a reservation, and it is said that there was no major inconvenience even if one could not speak Chinese or English on-site.
The Zhiming Azhang Zhaofang Wanghong experience cost includes hair and makeup, costume, photography, and even photo editing. This is similar to the cost of receiving only hair and makeup services in Korea (~$83-~$104).
