The service at hotels or restaurants, though, is truly incomparable to Korea –

They go out of their way to take care of things you wouldn't even imagine, making you feel so grateful you could almost shed a tear.

However, most ordinary Chinese people won't pay attention to you unless you speak to them first, and their tone might even come across to Koreans as a bit...

...angry in many cases.

(But if you do talk to them, while their tone might seem indifferent, they are usually nice and helpful.)

So please, for your own sake, do not follow those men who try to talk to you there.

Anyway, once you've descended into the Shanghai Pudong Airport parking lot,

You can call your DiDi and get in right in front of this D4 spot. Many other locals and people, besides me,

are also waiting for their DiDi here...

Since DiDi taxis look like regular cars without the 'Taxi*' sign on top,

Make sure to check the license plate number, and the car type/color displayed on your app before getting in.

Of course, the DiDi app will pop up and tell you in real-time how many minutes are left until your ride arrives.

But, a side story...

The DiDi app, which worked perfectly last trip,

was completely unresponsive.

Seriously, why?!

I had even set up my internet beforehand,

just in case,

I brought two phones and had eSIMs installed on both.

But it was truly completely unresponsive, and I broke out in a cold sweat.

Ughhh

It doesn't seem like a common occurrence, but it can definitely happen...

What's more, since the DiDi app can only be used once you're in the local area, you can't really check if it works from back home.

Anyway, sweating nervously, I managed to call one on my other phone (the app was installed there too).
