Novotel Shanghai Clover Hotel Review 2026: Disney Shuttle & Twin Room

When heading to Shanghai Disneyland,

it turned out that having a shuttle was just as important as the hotel's location.

The Novotel Shanghai Clover Hotel, where I personally stayed,

was about a 10-minute drive to Disneyland

and offered a free shuttle, which made getting around incredibly convenient.

So, I'll share my actual stay review of the character room,

Disneyland Shuttle Schedule and Review

One of the biggest reasons I chose the Novotel Shanghai Clover

was its close proximity to Shanghai Disneyland.

From the hotel to Disneyland,

the shuttle bus took about 10 minutes.

I took the 12 PM shuttle on my check-in day

to get to Disneyland.

During the time I used it,

I was able to board without a prior reservation,

but the shuttle to The Bund the next day

was already fully booked, so I couldn't use it.

So, if you have a crucial shuttle time, like for a Disneyland 'rope drop' experience,

I recommend reserving your spot at the reception desk right after you arrive at the hotel.

The shuttle timetable is subject to change,

it's always best to reconfirm directly with the hotel.

Rilakkuma Character Twin Room Review

The room I was assigned

greeted me with Rilakkuma as soon as I opened the door,

which caught me a little off guard at first, haha!

I hadn't specifically booked a character room,

but I noticed that neighboring rooms featured other characters like Hello Kitty and Minions.

The room had one double bed and one single bed.

With Rilakkuma accents scattered throughout,

it felt much more unique than a standard room.

If you're traveling to Shanghai Disneyland with kids,

I imagine they would absolutely adore a character room like this!

However, when I made my reservation,

there wasn't an option to specifically choose a character room.

If you really want a character room,

you might try emailing the hotel after booking to request one.

The room's minibar not only had bottled water,

but also soft drinks and juice,

and they were complimentary during my stay.

Perhaps because it was a character room,

they even had slippers for infants,

which made me feel they really consider families traveling with children.

The bathroom was also quite spacious,

and the toilet and shower booth were separated.

There was no bathtub, but it wasn't a major inconvenience,

and the hairdryer was powerful, which I appreciated.

Novotel Clover Shanghai Hotel: Overall Review

The Novotel Clover Shanghai Hotel

is a better fit for trips that include a Disneyland itinerary,

rather than just city sightseeing.

It's conveniently close to Disneyland, about a 10-minute ride,

and the free shuttle service was the most convenient aspect.

However, the shuttle might be fully booked for your desired time slot,

so I recommend checking the shuttle schedule immediately after booking your stay.

Also, be sure to compare prices.

When I checked for the same dates,

Yeogi Eottae was ~$74,

Agoda was ~$76,

and Trip.com was ~$88.
