When that question pops up, one dish immediately comes to mind:

Shanghai Crab Roe Noodles!!!!

But if you're like me, you probably also want to enjoy delicious food

with a fantastic view of Shanghai.

Who wouldn't, right?

The Shanghai restaurant I visited,

Li Bai Xie, is a crab cuisine restaurant located on The Bund.

From its window seats, you can see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower

and the beautiful Pudong skyline.

After trying it myself, I can confidently say it perfectly suited my taste,

and I had a truly delightful meal.

From their signature crab roe noodles to other tempting dishes,

let's dive into all the details together!

By subway, it's about a 7-minute walk from Exit 7 of Yuyuan Garden Station (Lines 10 & 14)!

Once you enter The Bund 22 building

and arrive on the 3rd floor,

you'll spot Li Bai Xie's (李百蟹) prominent Chinese signboard!

2. Window Seats with Oriental Pearl TV Tower Views

Through the window,

you can see the Huangpu River and Pudong's towering skyscrapers.

On a clear day, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower

is incredibly clear, which was absolutely wonderful!

If you'd like a window seat,

be sure to inquire when you arrive.

Even if you purchase a meal voucher in advance,

it doesn't guarantee a window seat,

so confirming is essential! :)

3. Crab Roe Noodles and Menu Selection

At Li Bai Xie, the main dishes to look out for are

their signature crab roe noodles and delicious crab set meals.

We ordered the full-course crab set for two,

which includes crab roe, crab meat, crab leg meat, drunken shrimp, and your choice of noodles or rice.

It's all part of the package.

At around ~\$59 for two people,

it's a fantastic way to savor delicious crab dishes at a really reasonable price.

We even ordered dessert to top it all off,

making for the perfect sweet ending to our meal.

With the crab meat noodles, you get to mix the noodles directly with the succulent crab meat.

The crab innards weren't fishy at all; instead, they were incredibly savory and rich,

so even if you dislike fishy flavors (like me!),

you'll absolutely love it!!!

I'm quite sensitive to any hint of fishiness,

but I didn't detect any off-putting flavors from the innards,

and thoroughly enjoyed every bite.

They thoughtfully served the crab roe, crab meat, and crab leg meat separately,

which made it fun to savor each unique texture and flavor individually!

What's more, the noodles and rice are refillable,

so you can truly eat your fill.

And with three different crab meat sauces,

each with its own distinct and delicious flavor,

it was a joy to mix and match!

The flower-decorated drink was delightfully sweet,

making it the perfect palate cleanser after indulging in all that crab noodle goodness.

And for matcha lovers, the Matcha Flower Cream dessert

will be absolutely perfect!

It's a definite must-try!!

Beyond the desserts I tried,

they also have options featuring taro, watermelon, cheese, and more.

So many unique desserts!

Go ahead and pick one that perfectly suits your taste :)

Worried if Chinese food will suit your palate?

They've truly mastered catering to a wide range of tastes, including Korean palates, so expertly! >.<

I personally don't enjoy overly fishy or excessively sweet flavors,

but every single dish at Li Bai Xie was simply delicious.

What's more, you can order by looking at food photos and scanning a QR code,

so even if you don't speak much Chinese,

ordering will be an absolute breeze.

While reservations aren't available through Dazhong Dianping,

you can pre-purchase the set for two at a slightly lower price (258 RMB)!
