After walking miles in Shanghai, treat your feet to Kangdao Massage! Read my honest review of prices, locations, and how to book this highly-rated spa for your 2026 trip.

When you visit Shanghai, you'll likely find yourself walking a lot – I typically clock over 9 miles (around 20,000 steps) daily!
From Nanjing Road East to The Bund and Yuyuan Garden, a full day of sightseeing can leave your feet feeling completely worn out, almost like they don't belong to you anymore.
That's why Kangdao Massage became my absolute go-to, a place I visited three times across two trips to Shanghai!
After just one session, I was so impressed that I kept booking it throughout my trips.

I'm excited to share my honest review of Kangdao Massage, covering its location, prices, how to book, and my personal foot massage experience.

I personally used the Nanjing Road East branch, and it was perfectly situated.

After shopping on Nanjing Road East and exploring The Bund, it was a convenient walk to get there.

Being in the Miniso building made it easy to find, and a quick elevator ride brought me right to the entrance – truly excellent accessibility.
It's especially great as a final stop after your evening activities.

📌 Pro Tip: Book in Advance!
Kangdao is quite well-known among tourists, so they tend to get very busy after 5:00 PM.
During weekends or peak season, it might be tough to get your desired time slot, so I highly recommend booking ahead.

Kangdao Massage: Prices & Ambiance

When choosing a massage parlor, cleanliness is always a top priority, right?

Kangdao definitely felt like a clean, upscale hotel spa!

The rooms are completely private, making it comfortable whether you're with friends or family. The quiet atmosphere means you'll probably drift off to sleep during your massage...

After your massage, they offer complimentary tea and a light snack, allowing you to relax and enjoy a treat.
This thoughtful touch is definitely one of their popular features!

Despite the hotel-like interior and 100% private rooms, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.

A foot massage starts from around ~$24, and a full body massage is approximately ~$28. Given the quality, you'll definitely feel like you're getting great value for your money.
They also use a timer to ensure the exact duration of your massage, so you don't have to worry about them cutting it short – another detail I really appreciated.
My Real Review After Three Visits

With days often exceeding 9 miles (20,000 steps) in Shanghai, I found a foot massage to be more beneficial than a full body one.

The massage isn't just about your feet; it starts with a relaxing foot bath and meticulously works its way up to your calves. Afterward, my legs felt incredibly light and refreshed.
They really focused on acupressure points on the soles of my feet, and the therapists regularly checked if the pressure was okay, which made the experience very comfortable.

After each session, my legs felt so much lighter, giving me the energy to comfortably enjoy my travels the next day.

Kangdao Massage (or Dao Spa, as it's sometimes called) was truly a ray of light during my Shanghai trips. I highly recommend it!
