Shanghai Disneyland Zootopia 2026: DPA Ticket Prices

Shanghai Disneyland's Zootopia theme zone

opened its gates on 12/20/2023,

making it the first and only Zootopia land in the world.

​

It quickly became the most highly anticipated

and popular area in all of Shanghai Disneyland.

Stepping into the vibrant metropolis straight out of the movie

is an incredibly immersive experience on its own.

​

I recently used a Disney Premier Access ticket

to explore the Zootopia zone and ride the main attraction.

Here is my full review and guide for your 2026 trip!

1. Shanghai Disneyland Premier Access (DPA) Explained

​

During my visit to Shanghai Disneyland,

I purchased the Disney Premier Access 6 ticket,

which includes skip-the-line access to Zootopia: Hot Pursuit.

You'll often see this abbreviated as DPA6.

​

​

The Premier Access 6 & 8 tickets

are essentially paid fast-track passes that

allow you to breeze through the queues of

6 or 8 pre-selected popular attractions.

​

​

Both the DPA6 Adventure Set and DPA8 Carefree Set

include express entry to heavy hitters like

TRON Lightcycle Power Run and Zootopia: Hot Pursuit.

​

The DPA8 is particularly appealing because it drops

the Camp Discovery Challenge Trails and

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train from the DPA6 list,

replacing them with massive crowd favorites:

Soaring Over the Horizon and Pirates of the Caribbean.

​

Checking the prices across major ticket platforms,

Trip.com offered the cheapest standalone admission,

while Klook had slightly better deals for DPA tickets.

​

Keep in mind that prices fluctuate based on

daily exchange rates and your membership tier.

2. Exploring the Zootopia Theme Zone

​

Walking into the Zootopia zone feels like

you've been transported directly into the animation.

The downtown area is meticulously recreated,

and it's so much fun spotting the different-sized facilities

designed for animals ranging from mice to elephants.

You absolutely have to try the iconic Pawpsicles

that Nick famously hustled in the movie!

It's a refreshing fruit-flavored ice pop.

​

With the recent release of Zootopia 2,

the park has added fun new Easter eggs.

Keep an eye out for Gary the Snake,

and check out the updated city maps and posters

that now feature the Marsh Market!

3. Zootopia Attraction: Hot Pursuit

​

In Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, guests are deputized

as rookie police officers. You'll team up with

Nick and Judy on a high-speed chase

to rescue the kidnapped pop superstar, Gazelle.

​

​

The standby queue is an attraction in itself,

acting as a walking tour of the Zootopia Police Department.

If you use the DPA, you'll bypass a lot of this area,

meaning you might miss some side characters and details.

​

However, because this is the hottest ride in the park,

standby wait times frequently stretch to several hours.

If you want to save your energy for other rides,

buying the DPA is 100% worth the investment.

​

During my visit, the standard wait was 90 minutes,

but with the DPA, I was on the ride in just 12 minutes!

​

Near the end of the queue, you'll watch a briefing video

showing the jailbroken Bellwether and her gang kidnapping Gazelle.

​

To celebrate the Zootopia sequel,

new props like Gary, undercover heart sunglasses,

and the key made by Nibbles have been added to the queue.

The main storyline of the ride remains the same, though.

​

​

While it's not a massive thrill ride like TRON,

the trackless technology and incredible animatronics

make you feel like you've truly stepped into the movie.

It's an absolute blast!

4. Final Thoughts

delivers next-level immersion that Disney is famous for.

The Hot Pursuit attraction is visually stunning,

packed with brilliant character details,

and is a must-do for any Disney fan.

Because it draws massive crowds daily,

is the smartest way to maximize your park day.
