Shanghai Disneyland Lunch & Dinner: What to Eat & What to Skip
Mickey & Pals Market Café

Hours | 10:30 - 21:30 |
Early Bird Voucher | Accepted |
My Honest Verdict | If taste is your priority: Skip it If you're all about the photos... definitely go! |

For lunch, I chose the famous Mickey Malatang,
which is a must-try bucket list item at Shanghai Disneyland.
Right outside Mickey & Pals Market Café, they showcase the popular Mickey Malatang,

along with other menu options displayed like this
so you can get a good idea of what they serve.
Of course, you can also check the Dining section of the official Shanghai Disneyland app.

The dining area was very spacious and featured several beautifully themed sections!

They even have outdoor terrace seating,
so if you're lucky enough to snag a spot, you can enjoy your meal out in the fresh air!

You can pay here using Alipay.
But instead of ordering and paying first,
you actually **grab your food first and then head to the register to pay**!
Such a unique system...

Just head over to the food prep station like this,
pick up the dishes you want, and then go pay.

Don't forget to grab some chopsticks near the checkout counter!✨️
Mickey Malatang and Dim Sum Review

Here's what they look like...

I saw on YouTube that everyone recommended the Mickey Malatang as the best option...
and since they said the mala flavor wasn't too strong (perfect for beginners),
I decided to give it a try. But honestly... the mala flavor was barely there...
and it just wasn't for me.🤣🤣🤣

At the very least, the noodles were the best part...

I also ordered the dim sum because so many people get it alongside the Mickey Malatang,
but it was super dry and shriveled...

Honestly, the Coca-Cola was the highlight of the meal.

Personal Review | The Pooh Pizza, turkey leg, and fried rice were actually so delicious! |

The interior here was incredibly spacious too!
The reason I highly recommend visiting for dinner rather than lunch
is because the area with the trees (shown in the photo below) has an open glass ceiling,
and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful at night.❤️
Pooh Pizza & Turkey Leg Fried Rice

After being
🐶massively disappointed by the Mickey Malatang at lunch, I had zero expectations for the Pooh Pizza (which has very mixed reviews). But since it was dinnertime and I needed to fuel up
and save my energy for the fireworks, I ordered it anyway...
and I absolutely loved it!❤️

The Pooh Pizza is loaded with ham and pineapple toppings,
so the pineapple definitely seems to be why opinions are so split.
Bottom line: if you love Hawaiian pizza, I highly recommend it!

I once had something similar at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka,
but it had so many tiny bones that I absolutely hated it.
So when my sibling chose this, I warned them they might regret it...

But it turned out to be way bigger than the Universal one,

and there were barely any annoying bones. It was actually so delicious!

Maybe it's because it was my first time eating rice all day, but even the fried rice was pretty tasty.

Coke is always a lifesaver!❤️
Snacks
Zootopia Pawpsicle

When you go to Shanghai Disneyland,
I saw so many posts saying you absolutely have to try the Zootopia Pawpsicle.

It costs 45 CNY, which is almost ~$6? ~$6?

It looks super cute, right? ❤️
As for the taste...

Yeah... you can tell by my expression, right?
It was hands down the worst thing I've eaten in 2026.
✔︎ Shanghai Disneyland Food Review Summary
‼️Please respect my personal preferences!‼️
First of all, the taste is a bit disappointing for the price...
But the relatively decent ones were the Pooh Pizza,
the turkey leg, and the fried rice,
and I'd understand getting the Mickey Malatang just for the photo op...
But the Zootopia Pawpsicle... *sigh*...
My sister and I bought just one and kept passing it back and forth like a hot potato...
