Did you know that tea is an integral part of Chinese culture, often enjoyed before meals? This tradition speaks volumes about the country's rich tea heritage!

While you'll find both traditional and modern tea shops, Blend Bunny stands out with its enchanting Alice in Wonderland concept, offering beautiful, ornate tin cases and delightful merchandise.

If you have a fondness for charming trinkets or aromatic teas, this is a spot that will surely capture your heart. Tucked away in an alley within Panlong Tiandi, I stumbled upon this fairytale-like space – the Shanghai Blend Bunny store.

The sweet scent of tea wafting from outside and the adorable characters drew me in without a second thought.

What truly caught my eye at the Blend Bunny entrance was a colossal pastel-gradient rabbit statue. Amusingly, it was posed as if taking a selfie with a smartphone held high. Of course, I had to mimic its pose and snap a photo myself!

Peering into the shop window, the Alice in Wonderland theme makes the store incredibly charming. The warm spotlighting even gives it a mystical aura. It's impossible not to be drawn inside, isn't it?

Inside, one section of the store showcases seasonal limited-edition teas. I spotted Melon Green Grape Tieguanyin and Dragon Ball White Tea, all housed in beautiful pastel mint and pink tin cases. These were on promotion for just ~$4 each, with a purchase limit of two tins per person. The staff were incredibly friendly, offering samples for both aroma and taste, which made choosing a breeze.

While browsing for teas, I also noticed a service guide detailing discounts based on purchase amounts. It was a cute event where you could exchange for five different products at a discounted price. Adorable rabbit-themed merchandise like mirrors, mini tin cases, and cold brew bottles were available from ~$3 to ~$6. Taking advantage of these extra perks when buying drinks or teas really adds to the fun of shopping!

After finishing my shopping, I stepped outside and captured another photo with my purchases. Standing against the beautiful exterior of the store, holding a large shopping bag adorned with whimsical illustrations, I truly felt the satisfaction of a successful shopping spree!

After my first visit and purchases in Panlong Tiandi, I found myself wanting more! So, I made my way to the Blend Bunny store in Tianzifang.

True to form, this location also featured a charming photo zone right outside. I made sure to snap a quick 'proof shot' before heading inside.

The store hours were from 10 AM to 10 PM. It was convenient to pay using WeChat Pay or Alipay, making the shopping experience seamless.

Stepping inside, the vibrant teal walls and antique frames immediately caught my eye. I enjoyed admiring the classical attire of the rabbits in the portraits and the exquisitely detailed miniature figurines.

The luxurious, classic European-style wooden display cases were filled with colorful tin cases, so adorable I wanted to buy them all! These beautiful tins make for sophisticated gifts, so I picked up a few presents for my close friends.

3. Blend Bunny Tea: A Top Shanghai Shopping Recommendation

Shanghai's Blend Bunny is renowned for its beautifully decorated photo zones at each location and its abundance of charming merchandise, making it an absolute must-visit destination.

Beyond delightful fruit and floral scented teabags, you'll also find a variety of traditional teas like white tea and green tea. I ended up purchasing teas for both gifts and for myself to enjoy.

They often run promotions, so it's a great idea to keep an eye out for deals and grab some extra gifts when you meet the purchase threshold!

After brewing, the tea offers a clean aroma and a truly delicious taste. While the price per volume might seem a bit high at first, the beautiful tin cases can be repurposed as decorative items or storage containers after you've enjoyed all the tea, making them well worth the investment!
