Atour X Hotel Shanghai Xujiahui: Tennis & Masters 2026 Stay

Last week, I went on a tennis trip to Shanghai, China 🎾

The main reason was to watch the 2026 Rolex Shanghai Masters,

but it would have been a shame to just spectate, so I also played some tennis myself!

Equipped with both indoor and outdoor tennis courts,

I booked and visited the Shanghai Xujiahui Wilson Tennis Courts.

You can walk to the Wilson Tennis Courts,

take a taxi to the Shanghai Masters Qizhong Tennis Center,

and it's in a prime location close to downtown Shanghai!!!

Let's start the review of my booking and stay.

The purpose of this trip was to watch the Shanghai Masters live 🎾

But before going to watch, I figured it would be even more fun to play tennis myself,

so I looked into some tennis courts in Shanghai.

Surprisingly, there weren't many blog posts or reviews about tennis courts in Shanghai,

but the Wilson Tennis Courts had the most visitor reviews.

The Shanghai Wilson Tennis Courts are located in

the Xujiahui Sports Park Complex.

Booking indoor courts was more difficult, so we ended up playing outdoors,

and I'll share the booking method in the next post.

so I booked through Agoda.

I traveled from the airport to the hotel by taxi.

It seemed to take about 40 minutes.

Since there are so many Atour Hotel branches, make sure you go to the correct one:

Atour X Hotel Shanghai Xujiahui Wanti Stadium.

The Shanghai accommodation felt neat and tidy right from the exterior,

and it's even better that there are various restaurants on the first floor.

Of course, the fact that the Wilson Tennis Courts are only a 7-9 minute walk away

was the biggest reason I chose this accommodation 👍🏻😊

Superior

We booked a Superior room.

Here's a look at the Shanghai hotel interior from the entrance!

From where I was standing,

there was a sink and a full-length mirror on the left,

and a toilet and a shower booth were on the right.

The interior of the Shanghai Atour Hotel had a studio feel to it.

There was a desk, a sofa table, and the bed was in the innermost part,

and I liked how the space was divided by a few steps~

The staff didn't speak English, so we mainly communicated using a translator.

It was perfectly fine for two people staying for a short trip!

Water was provided, but

we just bought ours from a convenience store.

There are fruit stores, convenience stores, shopping malls, and more all nearby~

The price for Atour Hotel Shanghai Xujiahui Wanti Stadium is

around ~$75 per night, starting at the very low end of that range!

(Keep in mind prices vary by day and season!)

Inside the shower booth, there was shampoo, conditioner, and body wash readily available.

The hot water worked great, and the shower booth was spacious!

Right next to the shower booth, you'd find the toilet!

The washbasin was separate,

and while there wasn't a closet, hangers were provided!

Near Atour Hotel Shanghai Xujiahui Wanti Stadium,

I spotted a Yonex store and decided to check it out~

The Ezone Espresso racquet was also being sold in Shanghai,

and the price was around ~$279.

There are even tennis practice courts!!!

Perhaps because it's so close to the Xujiahui Sports Stadium,

there were many Wilson and Yonex stores, among others.
