My mom, sister, and I went for a drive in Gijang,

and this is the place we found for lunch!

With refreshing broth, delicious meat, sushi,

and a well-stocked salad bar, the three of us

really got our money's worth before finishing off our day by the Gijang sea!

Shabuwon Gijang Dongbusan Location & Parking

It's located right near Gijang Lotte Outlet and IKEA,

making it a perfect stop before or after your shopping trip.

Do keep in mind that the parking space within the building is quite narrow,

which might be inconvenient for beginner drivers!

I parked right under the building,

and there was no separate parking fee or validation!

You can assume that the parking lot is available for use during Shabuwon's operating hours.

I visited on a weekend/holiday (100-minute limit),

and I felt even more satisfied with the wide variety of dishes!

As soon as we sat down at the table,

the first thing that caught my eye was the event information board, so I made sure to check it out!

You can get a discount of ~$1 per person by fulfilling conditions such as leaving a Naver review and meeting specific requirements (like not leaving any food behind), in addition to benefits applied for weekday lunch and dinner.

As soon as I stepped into the restaurant,

I noticed busy footsteps and a bustling crowd.

We arrived just past the lunch peak, so

we were able to enter without waiting! (Sunday, entered at 2:15 PM)

It was great for a meal with Mom and my sister!

*Heads up: It can get a bit chaotic and noisy during peak hours

I immediately understood why it's so popular.

Sushi Buffet & Salad Bar Corner​

Beyond just sushi and rolls, the salad bar lineup was packed with seasonal vegetables and dishes –

easily on par with many other buffets.

But don't worry, they refill it promptly!

With thick salmon slices, the sushi here is definitely top-notch!

Even if you just fill up on all sorts of dishes from the buffet corner,

you'll feel like you got incredible value for your money.

Self-service Unlimited Beef Refills

Often, when you go to all-you-can-eat or buffet-style restaurants, the quality of the meat can be a hit or miss,

but here, it was definitely decent!

It wasn't disappointing at all; in fact, it was quite good,

making it a fantastic option for family dinners.

Half-and-Half Broth Shabu-shabu

We opted for the half-and-half broth, allowing us to savor both a mild and a spicy flavor simultaneously.

With the mild broth, we enjoyed a clean and refreshing meal, pairing it perfectly with fresh vegetables and sushi.

Adding meat to the spicy broth made for a deliciously fiery combination that was absolutely fantastic!

Dipping vegetables and meat into the bubbling broth, cooked just to our liking, was so much fun that we completely lost track of time.

So hungry, we snapped a quick pic then devoured it in a flash!

The sauce combinations were incredibly diverse, with chili sauce, ponzu sauce, and more,

allowing us to mix and match to our heart's content.

Look at that salmon, right? So incredibly thick!

It was my first time seeing a buffet offering such wonderfully thick salmon sushi ㅜㅜ This was truly beyond satisfying.

The three of us filled our plates with all our favorite dishes and enjoyed a truly perfect, belly-bursting lunch.

However, with such a vast array of options at the salad bar, it's easy to get carried away and not leave enough room for the shabu-shabu, so pacing yourself is key!

After our satisfying meal, we took a short drive of just a few minutes

to the nearby Gijang beach.

Gazing at the wide-open ocean scenery and feeling the cool breeze was like a breath of fresh air, clearing away all my worries.

Delicious sushi and shabu-shabu, plus the tranquil ocean vibes –

it was truly the best Gijang itinerary all in one go!
