I'd love to recommend the **Four Seasons Exhibition Greenhouse at the National Sejong Arboretum**.

Since it's an arboretum, I initially thought we'd have to walk outdoors for a long time,

but when I actually visited, I found so many attractions to enjoy indoors,

like greenhouses and exhibitions,

much more than I expected.

We visited on a Friday in August,

taking a casual trip to Sejong after my husband finished work.

We arrived around 4:30 PM,

and it happened to be a Friday,

meaning it was **one of the days for night opening**.

For 2026, the National Sejong Arboretum's night opening is

scheduled every Friday and Saturday until October 31st,

operating from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

We had been putting off our visit for a while due to the intense heat,

but on this day, the sky was overcast and it looked like rain might start and stop,

so we decided to explore the indoor areas first.

a Metcha Chameleon collaboration event were

Amidst the vibrant green plants,

colorful sculptures were added,

making the atmosphere truly bright and cheerful.

Henri Matisse's Five-Colored Garden itself was so beautiful,

and thanks to the Metcha Chameleon event,

instead of just looking at plants,

we had fun exploring while also enjoying **a simple game**.

Even outside the Mediterranean Greenhouse,

the Henri Matisse exhibition continued,

making it great to explore both together.

The Tropical Greenhouse: Dinosaurs and Plants Coexisting!

Next up was the Tropical Greenhouse.

When I visited,

a dinosaur theme was incorporated throughout,

creating a completely different atmosphere from the Mediterranean Greenhouse.

What was particularly impressive was the spatial design.

With waterfalls and streams flowing throughout,

it felt as if we were outdoors, despite being inside.

And as you ascended the stairs,

the ability to view the plants from multiple elevations was also

With massive plants around and even dinosaurs appearing,

I imagined kids would have a blast.

Garden Marvel Special Exhibition: Discovering Gardens of the World

Inside the Special Exhibition Greenhouse,

you could see gardens from various countries

all in one place.

The colors and atmospheres differed by country,

making it feel like the scenery changed with every step.

For me, the gardens of Thailand, Singapore,

and Mexico were particularly beautiful.

It's a shame I was so captivated by the Mexican garden that I forgot to take photos! ㅠㅠ

If you want to explore not just the plants but also various themes

and capture some memories with photos,

this is a wonderful space to wander through at your leisure.

Even after exploring all the greenhouses,

the indoor exploration wasn't over.

There's also a Garden Shop and the <Plant Enthusiast: A Record of Green> exhibition,

so there was surprisingly a lot to see indoors!

If the Weather's Good, Don't Miss the Traditional Korean Garden

After finishing all the indoor exhibits,

it felt a bit too soon to just head home.

Since the rain hadn't really started yet,

we took a quick stroll through the Traditional Korean Garden, one of the outdoor areas.

There's a pavilion designed after Hyangwonjeong in Gyeongbokgung Palace,

and seeing it alongside the pond filled with lotus flowers,

it presented quite a picturesque and serene view.

In collaboration with the Jinju Cultural Tourism Foundation,

lanterns were displayed throughout the area, which we could see everywhere.

As we were exploring the Traditional Korean Garden,

past 6 PM,

the lights for the night opening began to flicker on one by one.

The lanterns, which looked like sculptures during the day,

took on a completely different atmosphere once they lit up.

What particularly stuck in my mind was

the lantern depicting 'Watermelon Thievery'.

The expression on the grandmother's face, glaring angrily at the children each 'stealing' a watermelon,

was absolutely priceless! LOLOLOL

Even before the lights came on,

and even more so after they were lit,

that grandmother was the scariest! LOL

Honestly, one watermelon per person is a bit excessive, wouldn't you say? LOL

We left when it was getting a bit dim,

but once the sun fully sets, the lantern lights become even more vivid,

so I imagine you could enjoy an even more beautiful night view.
