SAVHE Hotel North Bund Shanghai Review 2026: A Chic Solo Stay

For this Shanghai trip too,

I booked my accommodation in my favorite North Bund,

and as expected, this choice was a success!

SAVHE HOTEL, also known as Sahe (萨和) Hotel in China,

is a premium hotel under the Atour brand.

Having just opened in 2025,

its pristine and sleek condition was truly impressive!

If you're someone who prioritizes accommodation conditions

and prefers a spot less bustling than The Bund,

then definitely keep this hotel on your radar!

Location & Accessibility

You can walk to The Bund by crossing just one bridge,

and since **most major attractions are within about 1 kilometer**,

I ended up walking quite a bit throughout my trip.

I traveled from Pudong Airport to the hotel by taking the Maglev train to Longyang Road Station,

and then a taxi from there to the hotel.

It took **around 40 minutes**.

You might be worried if this location is unfamiliar,

but even when I walked back from The Bund alone past 11 PM,

I felt completely safe because **the hotel is situated right on a main street**!

I booked a Deluxe Queen room with breakfast for

**around ~$190 per night** on a weekday.

For a 5-star hotel, this is quite a good deal.

Prices vary depending on the season, so

checking directly is the most accurate way!

If you **add the WeChat account** they tell you about during check-in,

you can request anything you need through it.

WeChat has a translation function, so

there's no need to worry about language barriers.

They offer a **welcome tea** upon check-in.

Plus, you get to **choose one of three diffuser scents**

to have in your room during your stay!

I've visited many hotels over the years,

but **the option to choose a diffuser for your room was**

**incredibly novel and delightful!**

SAVHE fragrance products are displayed

and sold in the lobby, so

if you fall in love with a scent, you can even purchase it!

Deluxe Queen Room

It's a system where you don't need to insert a card into a slot in the room.

The room was more spacious than I expected,

with plenty of room even after unfolding my suitcase.

However, the room I stayed in this time had a rather small window.

Oh, and,

**this hotel doesn't offer any spectacular views, so it's good to keep that in mind**

**if you're expecting one.**

The interior is modern and clean.

The queen-sized bed wasn't too soft, which was perfect for me

as I dislike beds that sink in too much.

Next to the bed, there were buttons to control the lighting and curtains,

as well as USB and Type-C outlets, making it very convenient to use.

The body lotion was on this table,

and it smelled great and applied so smoothly.

I thought there wasn't a closet,

but it turns out it was right next to the bed, haha!

The pajamas provided

were made of a crisp, comfortable seersucker-like material,

so much so that you really don't need to bring your own!

The shower and toilet were inside,

while the sink was separated outside, which was a great layout.

Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were all Le Labo.

With a hinoki cypress scent, taking a shower after a day of activities

felt incredibly relaxing and melted all the fatigue away!

Toothbrushes and toothpaste were also available in the drawer,

and they even had a hairdryer that looked just like a Dyson.

What I particularly loved was how plush and luxurious the towels were.

They weren't those cheap, thin, stiff towels you sometimes find,

but incredibly soft and thick, which was absolutely wonderful!

All the beverages in the fridge were complimentary!

There was water, tea, cola, coconut water, and even nuts.

It's quite rare for an entire hotel minibar to be free,

so I was definitely impressed.

What's more, the laundry service here is also complimentary!

That's a benefit you rarely find in hotel services!

Next time, I'm definitely going to make full use of the laundry service...

I can't wait to come back and utilize it thoroughly!

Q. How many guests can stay?

(I asked the manager directly about this)

While this hotel is primarily designed for a comfortable stay for two,

it's possible for up to three guests, including a small child, by combining a single bed or pushing twin beds together.

I stayed alone on my solo trip,

but personally, I think it's most comfortable for up to two guests.

Breakfast to Late-Night Snacks All Included

Another fantastic advantage of this hotel is that

breakfast, afternoon tea, and even late-night snacks are all included,

and you can even take coffee and bread back to your room.

Breakfast 07:00-10:30

It's a Western + Chinese buffet,

offering a wide array of options from freshly squeezed juices and healthy dishes to live cooking stations and congee.

The menu is quite diverse.

The menu even changed slightly over the two days I was there,

and personally, I found the dumplings to be really delicious.

Afternoon Buffet 13:00-17:00

You can enjoy light snacks, fruits, coffee, and other beverages

in a buffet style.

Since I arrived at the hotel around 3 PM on the first day and was feeling a bit peckish,

it was perfect to grab some bread and a coffee to tide me over.

Late-night Snack 21:00-22:30

I didn't get to try the hotel's late-night snack service because I used delivery.

These days, it seems almost impossible to find a hotel in China that doesn't offer delivery service.

Even if you order in the middle of the night, a robot brings it right to your room,

so there's absolutely no need to worry about late-night munchies.

Price & Overall Review

After staying for two nights,

if you're looking to enjoy both the relatively peaceful atmosphere of North Bund

and excellent hotel conditions,

this was a highly satisfying choice.

Especially considering the complimentary minibar and laundry service,

along with services included from breakfast to late-night snacks,

I personally found it to be excellent value for money!!

My husband booked our stay through Booking.com this time,

but Booking.com can be quite expensive if your membership tier isn't high...

So, I looked around at other sites and found Trip.com offered better prices at the moment.

this was personally my favorite,
