The airport, where every journey begins and ends,
Many travelers enjoy duty-free shopping
or pass the time at restaurants and cafes.
But for me, I usually prefer spending my time in an airport lounge.
Especially when traveling in Southeast Asian countries,
after squeezing every last drop out of the trip before a late-night flight,
you often end up feeling a bit sticky from the heat and humidity.
That's why I often drop by a lounge to grab a shower.
Today, I'm excited to share my review of the Singapore Changi Airport lounge I visited on my way back from this recent trip.
If you're planning to use a lounge in Singapore,

Singapore Terminal 2 Lounge

Since I flew T'way Air for this trip,
I used Terminal 2.
Terminal 2 actually has three airport lounges, but
the only ones I could access for free with my card were
the "Ambassador" and "SATS" lounges.
Honestly, I just followed my travel companions to SATS without giving it much thought,
but I later found out there are slight differences between the two.
In terms of facilities, the Ambassador lounge is generally considered better,
while SATS tends to have better food quality.
SATS also offers complimentary showers,
whereas at the Ambassador lounge, you'd need to pay an additional fee to use them.
So, if your plan is to freshen up in a lounge before your flight,
keeping these points in mind could be quite useful.
The SATS Lounge in Terminal 2 is located on the 3rd floor,
so you can take the escalator or elevator up from the duty-free area.
Price & Booking
I have two cards that offer 'The Lounge' benefits,
so I was able to enter for free.
However, if you don't have a card that offers lounge access,
you'll need to pay a fee upon entry.
The best and cheapest way to purchase access is actually
for someone with 'The Lounge' card to buy the pass through their app.
During this trip, my friend Aeryong didn't have a card with lounge benefits,
so I purchased a pass for them through 'The Lounge' app.
It cost about ~$37.
This was even cheaper than purchasing from platforms like Klook or Trip.com,
so if you're traveling with companions,
this method is likely the most economical!
If no one in your group has a lounge card, or if you're traveling solo,
then using a platform is your only option.
For the Singapore SATS Lounge, unlike other Changi Airport lounges,
it's exclusively sold on Klook.
Even through a platform, it costs nearly ~$48,
which might seem a bit steep.
However, at Singapore Changi Airport, seating near the gates can be quite limited,
so if comfort and relaxation are priorities,
I still recommend purchasing access, even if it's via Klook.

While SATS offers complimentary showers,
it's also harder to find cheaper ways to get in.
So, if you don't necessarily need a shower
and facilities are more important to you than food quality,
heading to the Ambassador lounge could be a good alternative.
I haven't personally been to the Ambassador lounge, so I can't say for sure how much the food quality differs,
but it seems many people prefer it.
So, enjoying the Ambassador lounge at a more affordable price might also be a smart move.

As expected, Waug offers significantly lower prices compared to other platforms,
so if you're planning to visit the Ambassador Lounge,
it's best to purchase your pass through Waug before your visit.
Review of Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2 Lounge
As you first step in, plush chairs welcome you.
There's one table placed between every two chairs,
so you can set down your drinks or food and relax.
Plenty of power outlets are also available,
so for those like me who always run low on phone battery,
make sure to fully charge up before your flight!
Aeryong and I sat in this spot, planning to munch on snacks and chat idly,
but if you happen to need a spot for work or using your laptop,
there are also individual seats available,
offering a quiet, study-like atmosphere.
For your information, if you go further inside, you'll find group seating areas that can accommodate more people,
so if you're traveling as a family,
these seats might be perfect.
Oh! The absolute most popular seats are, of course, the massage chairs.
I was eyeing them greedily that day, hoping to grab one,
but they were so popular that I failed... sigh.
Food and drinks are arranged in the very center,
with everything from bakery items to noodles and hot food available.
Laksa, a representative Singaporean dish, is also prepared.
Just cook the noodles, add the laksa broth, and you're good to go!
Even compared to restaurants in the city or hotel dining,
the quality isn't bad at all,
making it feel like the perfect meal before a late-night flight.
Besides that, there's a wide variety of hot foods.
Seeing American-style mac and cheese after a long time,
I happily took a bite! 🎶
There are also simple cookies and other bakery items.
As someone who tasted a bit of everything,
I can say the bakery quality is excellent.
This time too, I fell in love with the pineapple cookies...
Oh... I'm so bummed I forgot to buy some to take home.
When I go in September, I'm seriously going to fill an entire suitcase with them!
Drinks and coffee are available, and so is alcohol.
There are various types of whiskey,
so if you need a little something to help you sleep before a late-night flight,
it might be nice to enjoy a glass or two.
Oh, Aeryong and I were able to get a late checkout from our hotel,
so we showered in our room before coming.
However, one of our companions spent too much time sightseeing
and didn't have time, so they showered here.
If you're planning to shower like our friend,
you'll need to ask for a towel at the front desk
and then head into the shower room.
I didn't use it myself, but
a friend who did said the shower facilities were super clean,
so if you don't want to feel yucky on your flight,
I'd definitely recommend using the shower room!
This was my first time at Changi Airport Terminal 2,
and while there were plenty of duty-free areas and shops to browse,
I actually felt there weren't enough places to just sit and relax.
I'm not really one for duty-free shopping anyway,
so for people like me, there's nothing quite like an airport lounge
to truly unwind and relax.
Especially if you're flying with an airline that doesn't provide a meal onboard,
being able to grab a quick bite before you go is another huge plus!

Bakery items, noodles, hot foods, and Singapore's signature dish, Laksa, are available. In addition, Mac & Cheese, cookies, various other bakery items, and alcoholic beverages (including whiskey) are provided.
Showers are provided free of charge at the SATS Lounge. You can request a towel at the front desk and then proceed to the shower room to use the facilities. The shower facilities are reportedly clean.
