Samcheok Jangho Port, Korea's Naples,
you naturally start looking for accommodations nearby, right?
This time, I also wanted to fully enjoy the waters at Jangho Port,
so while searching for a place to stay,
I ended up visiting Samcheok Hillsnorkel Beach Hotel.

Honestly, I was a bit worried because there weren't as many decent
guesthouses, hotels, or pensions
near Jangho Beach as I expected.
But after my stay, I can tell you, this hotel...
the location is absolutely fantastic 👍

Jangho Port is a place where snorkeling, transparent kayaking, and the Samcheok Marine Cable Car are often
enjoyed together as a package deal,
so the hotel's location was really crucial for me.
Staying at Hillsnorkel Beach Hotel meant I could enjoy
water activities, strolls, the cable car, and even dining
all on foot, which really
cut down on travel fatigue!
Today, I'll walk you through everything about Samcheok Hillsnorkel Beach Hotel, starting with its location,
the differences between its room types—Cabin A, Cabin S, and Cabin R—its rooftop pool, lounge services,
and even a 50% price discount tip!

There's a restaurant street, a convenience store, and walking trails nearby, and the Samcheok Marine Cable Car is right in front of it,
making it a fantastic location for getting around on foot.
It felt like my travel itinerary just fell perfectly into place!
As you can see from the map,
the locational advantages were definitely clear.
[ Pro Tip for Drivers ]
If you follow your navigation, you'll enter an alleyway between Donghae Hoegwan (Restaurant) and
the GS25 convenience store.
Don't park in the lot you see midway;
keep driving all the way up to the top of the hill!
That's how you'll reach the hotel's exclusive parking lot,
which connects directly to the lobby elevator.
.
2. Room Types & Differences
The rooms at Samcheok Hillsnorkel Beach Hotel are broadly divided into
Cabin A, Cabin S, and Cabin R.
It can be a bit confusing to figure out the differences,
so I've put together a summary!
+ This focuses on room configurations, and I'll explain prices
below, along with discount information.
[ Cabin A ]
This is a cozy room of approximately 29.75㎡ (about 9 pyeong).

The Double type can accommodate up to 2 people,
and features 1 double bed + room + bathroom

The Twin type is for up to 3 people,
and includes 1 double bed + 1 single bed
+ room + bathroom.

The room size, kitchen, and other features are the same;
the only difference is the number of beds,
so it's just a matter of whether you sleep separately or together!
If you're traveling with friends or
on a couple's trip and want to prioritize value for money, Cabin A is the one for you.
[ Cabin S ]
Approximately 36.36㎡ (about 11 pyeong),
this room offers more space than Cabin A.

It can accommodate up to 3 people
and is configured with a room + living area + bathroom
and one double bed.

If you're someone who plans to
spend a lot of time at your accommodation,
then choosing Cabin S over Cabin A might be a better option,
especially since it has a separate living space and a dining area.
Just so you know, I actually chose this room for my family trip!
[ Cabin R ]
The size and layout of Cabin R
are the same as Cabin S.

So, what's the difference, you ask?
It's all about the view!

Cabin R is characterized by its wide panoramic windows,
making it perfect for those who prioritize an open feel
and breathtaking views.

Here's a peek at what the bedroom looks like!
Just a heads-up, cooking isn't allowed in any of the rooms, unfortunately! 😭
3. Basic Supplies & Amenities
As you can see from the photos,
each room or living area comes with a 52-inch TV,
and the best part? You can even stream Netflix using your personal account!

They've got you covered with a refrigerator, comfy robes, slippers, a phone charger,
complimentary bottled water, and instant coffee –
so you'll find the basic conveniences pretty well-stocked.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, soap,
and a hairdryer are all part of the complimentary standard setup!

For a body sponge, cotton swabs, cotton pads,
razor, toner, lotion, and cleansing foam,
these disposable amenities can be purchased at the front desk for ~$1.
Keep in mind that if you exceed the maximum occupancy, including infants, you might have trouble checking in, so definitely double-check those guest limits!
4. Rates & Discount Tips
The prices at Hillsnorkel Beach Hotel can vary quite a bit,
depending on which room type you pick and your travel dates.

But you wouldn't just look at the regular price and book immediately, would you?
You absolutely have to check for any last-minute deals
or coupon-applied prices for your travel dates!
I actually went back to the booking site I used to leave a review,
and I noticed that for this upcoming weekend,
there were some pretty significant last-minute discounts available!

For Cabin A, a 50% discount was applied,
bringing the price down to the ~$139 range!

Cabin R also offered discounts of
41% to 53%, depending on the date!!
When a well-located Janghohang accommodation,
complete with a rooftop pool and an outdoor BBQ area,
comes at these prices during peak season,
that's seriously amazing value for money!
Last-minute specials can change in real-time or even sell out,
depending on the date and remaining room availability,

meaning you won't necessarily need to go out to a convenience store or cafe!

With about 10 parasols and tables, there's plenty of space for everyone.
The usage fee is ~$22 per set, which includes charcoal, a grill, a BBQ pan, and basic utensils,
so you can enjoy it hassle-free.
