Rome FCO Plaza Premium Lounge Shower Review 2026: Pre-Book Your Refreshment
Beat the heat in Rome! Discover how to book a refreshing shower at Fiumicino Airport's Plaza Premium Lounge for your 2026 trip. Essential for late flights or summer travel.
Quick answer
- The Plaza Premium Lounge shower is located at Rome FCO, T3 Non-Schengen Departures, Zone E, Upper Level.
- Book showers online via the Plaza Premium official website; select 'Shower' only, not lounge access.
- A shower costs 22 Euros per adult for a maximum of 30 minutes.
- Amenities include disposable towels, shampoo/body wash, hairdryer, comb, dental kit, and a laundry bag.
- Advance booking is strongly recommended, especially for evening flights or during peak summer travel.

The scorching summer heat in Rome meant that by our last day of travel, we were absolutely drenched in sweat when we arrived at the airport.
Thankfully, I had the foresight to book a lounge shower two days in advance, allowing us to freshen up before our flight.
You can book a shower at the Plaza Premium Lounge in Fiumicino Airport, and I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time.
Plaza Premium Lounge Location

📍Plaza Premium Lounge
Fiumicino Airport (FCO) T3 Non-Schengen Departures, Zone E, Upper Level
After completing check-in, security screening, and passport control, simply follow the lounge signs in Zone E and head up to the second floor.
Once you take the escalator up, just walk straight to the opposite side, and you'll spot it.
How to Book

>Book on the Plaza Premium Official Website<
I booked directly through the Plaza Premium official website.
First, find Rome FCO (Fiumicino Airport).
Then, for the T3 Non-Schengen Departures Lounge, select your desired date, time, and number of people, and then choose the 'Shower' option. (If you only want a shower, do NOT select the lounge entry option.)

Perhaps because it was summer, bookings were highly competitive. Even two days before, most slots were sold out, with only one time slot remaining.
It costs 22 Euros per adult, and the shower time is a maximum of 30 minutes. For two of us, that's 44 Euros total, which is approximately ~$48. It felt a bit steep just for a shower! 😂
However, with real-feel temperatures hitting 104°F (40°C) in Rome during the summer, this investment was absolutely worth it.

Upon entering the lounge, we simply showed our QR code and were directed straight to the showers.
We arrived around 7:30 PM, and by then, walk-in bookings were completely sold out. If you have a late-night flight, advance booking is definitely a must.

If you're looking to grab a meal or relax before your flight in addition to showering, it's a good idea to also look into purchasing lounge access.
The Plaza Premium Lounge offers food, drinks, Wi-Fi, and charging stations, making it a great spot to pass the time before boarding.
Keep in mind that lounge access and shower use are separate services, so you'll need to book them individually!

Shower Experience Review

I was curious about the condition of an airport shower room, but the interior was quite clean.
Disposable towels, amenities, a hairdryer, and shampoo (which doubles as body wash) were all provided, so we had everything we needed to wash up comfortably.
If you don't want your hair to turn into a broomstick, I strongly recommend bringing your own conditioner! In Italy, it's common to find all-in-one body wash, hand wash, and shampoo, let alone separate conditioner. 😥

The amenities included cotton pads, a comb, a shower cap, a toothbrush, and toothpaste. There was also a plastic bag provided for wet laundry.
It's a great touch, as I definitely didn't want to pack sweat-soaked clothes directly into my bag! Also, facial cleanser isn't provided, so it's a good idea to bring your own!

If you're flying out of Rome on a late-night flight or traveling during the hot summer months, I wholeheartedly recommend showering at the lounge before departure.
Thanks to this, my 13-hour flight felt incredibly refreshing!
