The Roamer Hotel Family Room with Cooking Facilities

With Sydney and Brisbane being the only Australian cities with direct flights from Korea,
many of you might be starting your Australian adventure in Brisbane, right?
If you're traveling solo or as a couple, finding accommodation is usually pretty straightforward.
But if you're planning a family trip for 3-4 people,
it can be tough to find a hotel that's both well-located and great value for money.
What's more, if you're traveling with parents or kids,
there might be times when you crave Korean food or need to cook specific meals, so having
cooking facilities becomes a must-check item on your list.
But what if I told you there's a hotel that ticks all these boxes
and comes at a reasonable price?
Today, I'm excited to share my review of the Family Room at Roamer Brisbane Hotel,
which can accommodate up to four people!

Roamer Brisbane Hotel is located near Roma Street,
about a 10-minute drive from Brisbane city center.
Check-in is at 3 PM and check-out is at 11 AM, which is standard. Even though Australia has a high cost of living, you can stay here for about ~$55-~$62 per person per night on weekends.
Besides the Family Room I'll introduce today,
they also offer Queen rooms for couples, Suites, and even Dormitories,
so it's perfect for everyone from solo travelers to families.
What's more, this hotel boasts a few other advantages.
Firstly, there's a breakfast restaurant and bar on the first floor.
For those who don't feel like venturing far late at night,
enjoying a drink at the bar here is a fantastic option.
Plus, just a block away, you'll find Woolworths, where you can grab groceries or simple snacks.
There's also a Subway and convenience stores nearby,
making it super easy to grab a quick meal.
Lastly, the accommodation fee is quite reasonable too.
For a family of four staying in a Family Room on a weekend,
it's approximately ~$235, which is not overly burdensome.
Considering how high prices are in Australia,
and the current exchange rates, you probably won't find many cheaper options nearby.

Just so you know, generally, Agoda tends to offer the best prices for hotels in Brisbane.
However, sometimes Trip.com might have special promotions, so it's always a good idea to check both!
Now, let's dive into my review of the Family Room stay.
Check-in is available at the hotel's ground floor lobby,
and the vibe felt a bit like a backpackers' hostel.
It seemed this was especially the case because they also operate dormitories,
and host many solo travelers.
Our assigned room was #408 on the 4th floor,
and we received a simple paper instruction sheet along with our key card.
The lobby was painted in warm wood tones,
creating a clean and generally minimalist interior.
When we opened the room door and stepped inside,
I immediately noticed how unique the room's layout was.
It featured a queen-sized bed for two,
and a bunk bed, also for two.
The interior was surprisingly spacious,
with enough room to easily open up three to four large suitcases – a huge plus for travelers!
The room's interior also had a lovely, subtly 'Instagrammable' vibe,
decorated with charming touches.
It was quaint and delightful, and I personally found it very appealing.
And the city view from the head of the bed
was wide open, offering a refreshing and expansive feeling.
While the mattresses in the room weren't incredibly plush,
they were certainly comfortable enough
to ensure a good night's sleep without any issues.
Further inside the room, we found a cabinet filled with amenities
and, of course, the bathroom.
While the room amenities weren't anything extraordinary,
they did provide thoughtful touches like complimentary water, cookies, and coffee.
Stepping into the bathroom, we were greeted by an all-white,
incredibly clean, and minimalist interior.
The sink, toilet, and shower were all thoughtfully arranged in one space,
and I particularly appreciated how spacious the sink area was!
The bathroom was fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash,
so you can leave those bulky bottles at home!
Next up, let's explore the fantastic common areas
available within the hotel!
First off, each floor's lobby had a cozy spot to relax
with a small table and chairs. But the real gem was the spacious common lounge area on the 2nd floor – perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring!
Also on the 2nd floor, tucked away at the very back,
was a surprisingly spacious common kitchen,
where you could whip up your own meals.
They had almost all the kitchen essentials, including pots, frying pans, and cutlery,
already prepared.
All we needed to do was grab some ingredients from the nearby Woolworths supermarket!
One of the most convenient things was that all the seasonings were provided.
Pepper, salt, sugar, sauces, oil, and more – pretty much all the essentials were there,
so we didn't need to bring anything ourselves.
Usually, serviced apartments or hotels with cooking facilities often lack seasonings,
so if you plan on cooking your own meals, this place felt much more convenient.
We only brought Ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce) and Kimchi from home,
and bought chicken, salad, beef, and other ingredients from Woolworths
to cook ourselves.
Instead of eating out at restaurants, cooking our own meals felt like a
refreshing experience, and it saved us money on food expenses too!
Some people might find shared bathrooms inconvenient,
but for me, it was actually much more comfortable because I didn't have to worry about
food smells lingering in the room!
Today, I've introduced you to The Romer Brisbane Hotel,
where I stayed during my trip to Brisbane.
It's conveniently located close to the city, offers cooking facilities, and even for
a stay of 4 people, the accommodation fee was in the low to mid ~$200s,
making it incredibly budget-friendly. I felt it was the perfect place
for a family trip of 3-4 people.
If you're planning a trip with your parents or children and haven't found the right accommodation yet,
