Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai

Hello fellow travelers! If you're searching for the perfect Shanghai hotel,
there's one spot that consistently pops up on every recommendation list.
It's the highly acclaimed
Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai,
perfectly situated right on Nanjing East Road.
✅ 10-second walk to Nanjing East Road (Unbeatable location!)
✅ 4-star quality at an incredible value (starting around ~$77/night)
✅ Fantastic breakfast buffet
It hits all three of my major requirements for a great stay.
Plus, the staff members were exceptionally welcoming, making the experience even more memorable.

Even better, if you use a Trip.com discount code,
you can lock in the absolute lowest rates for your trip.
If you're currently debating where to stay in Shanghai,
keep reading! Here’s what I’ll be covering
in today's post:
✔️ Why We Recommend Radisson Collection Hyland |
✔️ 3-Person Family Room Review |
✔️ Booking Tips & Trip.com Promo Code |
✔️ Breakfast Buffet Highlights |
Let's dive right in!
1. Why Choose Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai?

Shanghai is experiencing a massive travel boom right now in 2026!
When planning your trip, the biggest dilemma is usually
deciding which neighborhood to use as your home base.
My criteria for this trip were strict:
1) A hotel right on Nanjing East Road for effortless transit and foodie adventures.
2) A nightly rate under ~$150.
3) A delicious morning breakfast.

That’s exactly how I landed on the
Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai!
Because it's located directly on Nanjing East Road,
the moment you step out of the lobby, you're instantly immersed in the city's vibrant downtown.
At around ~$77+ per night, the value for money is seriously impressive.

I was especially drawn to the glowing reviews about their breakfast.
Since I was traveling with family, I wanted to make sure
we had accessible, high-quality morning meals
just in case anyone needed a break from local cuisine.
Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai Quick Facts:
✔️ Check-in: 2:00 PM (24-hour front desk available)
✔️ Check-out: 12:00 PM

2. Family Room Experience & Review

For this trip, we booked a Family Room
designed to comfortably accommodate three people.
The overall cleanliness and layout were fantastic.
Their standard 2-person rooms are also incredibly popular for couples and solo travelers.
✅ 2-Person Room Avg. Price: from ~$115
✅ 3-Person Room Avg. Price: from ~$208

The drive from the airport to the hotel
took about 50 minutes.
Upon arrival, the location truly blew us away.
Step out the front doors, and you are literally standing on Nanjing East Road.
Location-wise, it gets a 10/10.
If it's your first time visiting Shanghai,
booking this hotel means half your trip planning
is already done.

We arrived a bit early around 1:30 PM,
but the front desk graciously allowed us
to check in right away.

The bathroom and the main living area
were surprisingly spacious, giving us plenty of room to unpack and relax.

Our room featured one King-size bed and one pull-out sofa bed.

I was initially a bit worried that the sofa bed
might be uncomfortable.
However, my brother (who is 5'9") slept on it
and said it was actually quite cozy. If you have a similar build,
you'll have no issues getting a good night's rest.

The room was well-stocked with amenities like a hair dryer,
and one of the best perks was the abundance of electrical outlets—
perfect for a family needing to charge multiple devices at once.
You can easily plug in standard international electronics
and they work perfectly, though it never hurts to bring a universal adapter.
If there was one minor letdown, it's that
the 3-person Family Rooms don't offer views of the Oriental Pearl Tower.

Select rooms do feature that iconic skyline view, so I highly recommend
requesting an Oriental Pearl Tower view at the front desk
when you check in!
3. Trip.com Discount Code & Booking Tips

The biggest reason I recommend the Radisson Collection
for your Shanghai stay is
the unbeatable price point.
Because Nanjing East Road is such a prime location,
most hotels in this area are extremely expensive.
Plus, prices have only been climbing recently.
Despite this, you can still book the Radisson Collection
for around ~$115 a night.
Platform | Price per Night | Site |
HotelsCombined | ~$123 ~ | |
Trip.com | ~$115 ~⬇︎ | |
Agoda | ~$131 ~ |
* Please note that rates fluctuate based on your booking dates,
platform promotions, and
whether breakfast is included. Always compare prices!
I've consistently found that Trip.com offers the best rates for hotels in China.
You can score even more savings
by using their platform-specific promo codes.
✅ Trip.com Promo Code: TOSSH5 (Regional/App specific)
Enter this code right before checkout.
Depending on your region and payment method, you can get an additional 5% off.

This saved us about ~$6 extra per night!
This code often works for other Shanghai hotels too,
so definitely give it a try.
Keep in mind that promo codes usually expire at the end of the month,
so book quickly!
4. The Breakfast Buffet

As I mentioned earlier, the breakfast here is genuinely impressive.
If you're traveling with family like I was,
having a solid hotel breakfast makes the mornings infinitely smoother.
We ate here all three mornings of our stay
and were highly satisfied every single time.

The variety of food available is extensive.
The quality easily matches what you'd expect from a high-end 4-star property.
I highly recommend trying their bakery section.
While it might not beat a specialty local bakery,
their egg tarts were delicious, and I found myself pairing one with my morning coffee every day.

They also have a fantastic made-to-order egg station,
and their artisanal sausages were incredibly flavorful.
The fresh fruit selection rotates frequently
and offers a lot of variety. If a good breakfast is a dealbreaker for you,
the Radisson Collection won't disappoint.
5. Final Thoughts

That wraps up my 2026 review of the Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai!
I was so satisfied with my stay
that I already plan on booking it again for my next trip.
It truly is a hotel where the location does all the heavy lifting—
you just can't beat stepping right out onto Nanjing East Road.
Don't forget to use the Trip.com discount code
to lock in the lowest possible rate!
I highly recommend giving it a try.
Trip.com also runs special China travel deals every Thursday,
so keep an eye out for those
to save even more on your travel budget!
Have a fantastic trip to Shanghai! Safe travels! ♥️
