Hanting Premium Hotel Qingdao Taidong Review 2026: Budget Stay Near Night Market

During my Qingdao trip, I usually stay around May Fourth Square. But for days dedicated to exploring the **Qingdao Beer Museum and Taidong Night Market**, I figured a more budget-friendly hotel would be ideal. That's how I found the Hanting Premium Hotel.

Just a quick note: there's another Hanting Premium Hotel near MixC Mall, but this review focuses on the one conveniently located by **Taidong Subway Station**.

Location

It's an easy **8-minute walk to the Qingdao Beer Museum** and just a **7-minute stroll to the bustling Taidong Night Market**. This hotel is perfectly situated if your itinerary includes exploring Zhongshan Road, the Beer Museum, or the night market.

With the subway station close by and prices often **less than ~$73** a night, it's a significantly more affordable option compared to hotels around May Fourth Square.

Superior Double Room

I opted for the **Superior Double Room**. It was a neat and tidy space featuring a comfortable double bed and a large 55-inch TV.

There was a spacious desk, perfect for getting some work done on my laptop. The room had a window, but it opened onto an interior corridor-like space within the building, not to the outside.

The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there were no strange odors, so not having an outward-facing window wasn't an issue at all. The room size was generous enough that I could easily open two large suitcases without feeling cramped.

Next to the bed, I found a reading lamp and charging ports, along with slippers, a coffee maker, complimentary bottled water, and cups.

The bathroom was well-designed, with a separate shower stall and toilet area.

Basic amenities like toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and a comb were all provided.

I booked a double room in July for around **~$66**. Initially, I thought it was a bit pricey, but after a previous experience staying in a ~$22 hotel and waking up with a sore neck, I realized this price point is definitely worth it for a comfortable stay in China.

Facilities

The lobby offered a comfortable seating area, and there was also a space where you could grab a quick bite or a drink.

The staff were also proficient in English, which made the check-in process smooth and easy.

A unique feature was the pillow selection available in the lobby. If you often find hotel pillows too high or too soft, this is a great perk!

Though compact, the **breakfast area** was clean and tidy, and there were also **laundry facilities** available. Honestly, I couldn't find any significant downsides to the Hanting Premium Hotel.
