Chagee Milk Tea Qingdao MixC Mall: Guide & Top Orders

One must-try on my China travel wishlist was the famous Chagee (覇王茶姫) milk tea!

You might have seen K-pop idol Jang Won-young rave about it – apparently, its Gangnam branch in Korea sees insane queues!

Curiosity got the best of me! As soon as I arrived in Qingdao, this was my very first drink order.

Ready to dive in? I'll share everything: Chagee's Qingdao location, my top menu recommendations, and even how to easily order using Alipay!

I visited the Chagee located inside Qingdao's MixC Mall. You'll find it on the 3rd floor of MixC Mall Phase 2, unit CL306. I've included the Gaode Map link above for easy navigation.

There's only one small seating area inside, so most customers opt for takeout.

Menu Recommendations

Chagee boasts a surprisingly diverse menu, from classic milk teas to refreshing blends featuring Oolong, Jasmine, and Pu-erh teas.

If you're new to Chagee and want a safe bet, I highly recommend starting with Bai Ya Jue Xian.

For those who prefer a rich, sweet milk tea, Qing Qing Nuo Shan is a fantastic choice. If you love fragrant floral notes, Gui Fu Lan Xiang or Hua Tian Wu Long would be perfect.

How to Order

Most drinks are around 20 CNY, which is incredibly affordable compared to specialty milk tea shops in many other countries. I definitely indulged in two Chagee drinks a day during my Qingdao trip!

You'll spot a QR code next to the in-store menu. Simply scan it with Alipay, and the menu will pop right up! Alipay even has a built-in translation feature, making ordering super easy.

You can log in to Chagee via Alipay to grab coupons, or search for the store name on Dianping (大众点评) for potential discounts. The discount is usually only about 2 CNY, so I typically just ordered directly.

After choosing your cup size, ice level, and other options, complete your payment via Alipay or WeChat Pay. That's it!

Once your payment is processed, you'll receive an order number. Keep an eye on the digital display board in the store to see which orders are currently being prepared and which are ready for pick-up.

When your number appears on the 'ready' screen, just show your order number at the counter to collect your delicious drink.

Bai Ya Jue Xian Milk Tea

While K-pop star Jang Won-young famously loved 'Qing Qing Nuo Shan,' I heard that 'Bai Ya Jue Xian' is the perfect entry point for first-timers, so that's what I ordered.

This milk tea, a blend of jasmine green tea and milk, is one of Chagee's most popular signature drinks.

Honestly, I'm not usually a huge fan of milk tea, so I half-expected to just take a sip and toss it. But to my surprise, it was really good?!

The first taste might seem a little subtle, but the creamy, smooth finish from the milk lingers beautifully. It's light and refreshing, not heavy at all – I found myself surprisingly addicted and kept going back for more.

The sweetness isn't overpowering, so it felt perfect even after a meal. Despite getting a large size, it never felt too much or cloying. If you're ever in China, you absolutely have to try it! ❤️
