If you're planning a trip to Qingdao,

there's one absolute must-see attraction!

It's none other than the Tsingtao Beer Museum 🍺

★ Please note that the museum will be closed for renovation and maintenance from December 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. ★

I leisurely explored both Hall A and Hall B,

had plenty of time for souvenir photos,

and even got to sample the original unfiltered beer, plus enjoy unlimited draft beer at the 1903 Bar in MixC Mall downtown. It was amazing! lol

Today, I'll share my actual museum visit review

and a comparison of different ticket options.

1. How to Get to the Tsingtao Beer Museum by DiDi or Subway

The Tsingtao Beer Museum is located near Denmark Street in Shibei District,

right in the city center, so it's

super accessible by DiDi or public transportation.

💡 How to get there by subway from May Fourth Square Station!

➡️ From May Fourth Square Station (五四广场站),

take Subway Line 2

➡️ Get off at Lijin Rd Station (利津路站 / Lijin Rd)

(approx. 4 stops)

➡️ Exit C and walk straight for about 10 minutes

You'll arrive at the Beer Museum entrance!

It's easy to get to by subway,

only about a 10-minute walk from the exit. Plus,

along the way, you'll find beer and food streets

and many street photographers, so I highly recommend taking the subway!

2. [Unlimited Beer] Ticket + Multilingual Commentary (Korean, English, Chinese) + Unlimited Beer (at designated bar in city center)

Initially, I was also considering the VIP option.

Sampling not only the original unfiltered beer but also six other types of beer,

plus a private commentary and souvenirs, sounded incredibly tempting!

But then I looked closer and found the

[Unlimited Beer + Multilingual Commentary] option, which includes Korean commentary!

A Korean docent on a trip to China? I couldn't resist!

I booked it right away, but it seems to be a temporary option.

It appears and disappears, so keep an eye out for your chance!

It was precisely because it included 'Korean commentary'!

No matter how friendly the Chinese guide is,

if they explain things in Chinese or English,

honestly, it often goes in one ear and out the other, doesn't it? ^^

Am I the only one who feels that way...?

I recommend arriving 10 minutes before your beer museum commentary begins.

You'll enter through the right-hand door at the main entrance of the museum,

show them your reserved QR code,

and they'll connect you with your dedicated guide!

What's more, you can enjoy unlimited Qingdao Beer at four affiliated establishments,

so make sure to save some room in your 'beer belly' before you go!

3. My Review of Qingdao Beer Museum Halls A & B

Since many people listen together,

we wore Bluetooth headsets and followed along with the explanations!

Exhibition Route

First, we explore Hall A (History Hall), which holds 100 years of history.

After that, we move on to Hall B (Production Hall),

where you can witness the actual beer brewing process with your own eyes.

Ample Photo Opportunities

Our guide didn't just rush through the explanations;

they actually gave us plenty of time to take commemorative photos

at the retro photo zones scattered throughout Halls A and B!

Thanks to that, my friend and I captured dozens of 'once-in-a-lifetime' shots, lol!

Original Beer & Beer Beans

Midway through the Hall B tour, you get to sample two glasses of beer in total:

one glass of Original Beer (0.15L) along with a pack of savory almonds,

and another glass of Original Beer (0.15L) right before you leave!

Tasting Notes: Original Beer

Wow... the Original Beer with its live yeast is absolutely incredible.

The freshness is on another level, it's so rich, and the carbonation is just perfect... *chef's kiss*.

My friend and I both exclaimed, "Ah! Should we order another one!?!?" lol!
