Today, I'm sharing one of my absolute favorite hidden spots near Busan's trendy Gwangalli Beach.

If you're looking for an atmospheric, cozy spot to wind down, you need to check out:

Pyoryu (Drifting)

The exterior features a beautiful wave-patterned wall with a minimalist 'Pyoryu' sign, which instantly sets a relaxing, moody vibe.

Pyoryu serves up an amazing selection of whiskey, craft highballs, and fine wine, all while playing some of the hippest indie tunes in town.

It's completely pet-friendly! They even leave out a fresh bowl of water on the patio for neighborhood dogs walking by. Such a thoughtful touch!

There are also outdoor patio tables where you can enjoy your drinks. If you sit in just the right spot, you can even catch a cheeky peek-a-boo view of the iconic Gwangan Bridge! 👀

As you walk inside, the right side features the main bar counter and the cocktail prep area—perfect for solo travelers or couples who love watching the bartenders work their magic.

They also sell some cool custom Pyoryu merchandise alongside aesthetic drink photos. The best part? All proceeds from their merch sales are donated directly to the local Suyeong-gu Senior Welfare Center. A bar with a wonderful cause! 👍🏻

On the left side of the room, there are several cozy table seating options (the space was full of lively locals, so I couldn't snap any photos of that area to respect their privacy!).

Once you find a seat, the staff will bring over their extensive menu. They offer an incredible range of highballs, beers, cocktails, tequila, gin, rum, wine, and whiskeys!

Our chilled bottle of Mud House Sauvignon Blanc arrived first! Savoring a crisp, refreshing glass of white wine on an open patio on a cool evening is pure bliss. 🤍

Since we had already eaten a heavy meal beforehand, we wanted something light and fresh to pair with the wine. The Tomato Burrata Cheese (~$10) was the absolute perfect choice! Sweet, creamy, and incredibly refreshing. ❤️

This place is so good, I actually visited last autumn in 2025 as well! 💙

And yes, I ordered the exact same Tomato Burrata Cheese back then too because it's just that delicious! 😆

I also tried some of their excellent single malt whiskeys. 🤎

We ended up ordering a fair share of drinks, and the super friendly staff even treated us to some complimentary side snacks! Talk about amazing hospitality. 💖

The restroom is separate, impeccably clean, and fully stocked with premium hand wash and plush hand towels.

If it gets a bit chilly sitting outside on the patio, don't hesitate to ask the staff for a cozy blanket!
