The ticket sales for the 2026 Pyeonghwanuri Picnic Festival have finally begun! This is one of my absolute favorite fall music festivals, held at Imjingak in Paju. Imagine spreading a blanket on a vast lawn and enjoying live performances as the sun sets.

I attended solo in 2024 and again in 2025, but this year, my family is finally joining me! The lineup for this year has been revealed, and wow!

These musicians seem like a perfect match for a peaceful autumn evening at Pyeonghwanuri. Let's dive into who's performing below.

Directions & Parking

From my past experiences attending performances at Imjingak Pyeonghwanuri, while the parking area itself is spacious, it gets incredibly congested right before the show starts and after it ends, with all the vehicles arriving and departing simultaneously.

Last year, in particular, traffic was completely gridlocked starting near the Pyeonghwanuri Campground parking lot. I waited for over an hour and ended up missing the beginning of the concert. Once I finally got through the entrance, I found plenty of parking spots inside. It was baffling why it was so backed up! I sincerely hope the parking lot entrance operates smoothly this year. If possible, plan to arrive with plenty of time to spare, and be prepared for a long wait when exiting the parking lot after the show.

Given the long duration of the concert, driving your own car is often the most convenient option. However, if driving isn't feasible, a shuttle bus service is available.

My Experience at the 2025 Pyeonghwanuri Picnic Festival

I attended the Pyeonghwanuri Picnic Festival last year, in 2025, just as I did in 2024. Although I missed the early performances by Rolling Quartz and Yuda Band due to the parking congestion, I still got to enjoy incredible sets from Soran, N.Flying, Daybreak, Paul Kim, and the grand finale by Lee Seung Hwan.

All the performances were fantastic, but Daybreak's stage was particularly exhilarating, and during Lee Seung Hwan's finale, the entire audience rushed forward, singing and dancing along. While it was a challenging day from parking to exiting, the sunset over Pyeonghwanuri and the live autumn evening concert were beautiful enough to make me forget all the hassle.

Tips for Enjoying the Pyeonghwanuri Picnic Festival

• Bring a picnic mat and some snacks to comfortably eat and relax on the lawn while enjoying the show.

• It might be warm during the day, but it can get chilly after sunset, so be sure to bring a jacket or extra layers.

• After the concert, all vehicles tend to leave at once, so expect significant delays when exiting the parking lot.

• Performances might run later than scheduled, so check public transportation or the paid shuttle bus options in advance.

What kind of music and scenery await us this year? Just thinking about experiencing the music of Nell, 10CM, and Sunwoojunga on the Pyeonghwanuri lawn at Imjingak, with a cool autumn breeze, already transports my mind to September.
