Affordable Private Pool Villa in Pohang with Ocean Views & BBQ

My fantastic stay at On Pool Villa Pohang for around ~$146 a night!

Planning a trip to Pohang, I spent a lot of time agonizing over accommodation. I finally decided that if I was going, I had to go all out for a private pool villa with an ocean view and its own swimming pool!

I scoured every booking site imaginable – Agoda, Naver, Airbnb, you name it – for over a week, until I finally found the perfect spot: On Pool Villa Pohang ❤️

During peak season, a Friday night stay was around ~$146. After experiencing it firsthand, I can confidently say that for this price and quality, it's an incredible value!

On Pool Villa Pohang: Ocean View, Private Swimming Pool, and More!

The main reason I chose this villa was undoubtedly its private swimming pool!

Instead of the usual blue tiles, the pool floor is finished with marble, giving it a much more luxurious feel and making for stunning photos. 😉

Unfortunately, the weather was a bit stormy during our visit, which obscured the view. But I'd love to go back on a clear day to experience the vibrant blue ocean, breathtaking sunsets, and even sunrises! 😍

You can choose between heated or cold water for the pool. For On Pool Villa A301, heated water until checkout costs ~$73. For other rooms, it's ~$36 until 10 PM or ~$51 until checkout.

I opted for the 10 PM heated water option, planning for a morning swim, and was pleased to find the water still pleasantly warm in the morning! 😊

Next to the pool, there was even a drying rack for swimsuits – a thoughtful touch!

Right next to the pool, you'll find an electric grill!

There's an additional charge of ~$15 per night for its use, and you can enjoy it at your leisure without worrying about a time limit. It's a huge plus to have a private BBQ experience without other guests around. 😉

On Pool Villa: A Private & Stylish Coastal Retreat in Pohang

The bedroom immediately impressed me with its elegant, antique-inspired interior. The decor was so tasteful, I wished I could recreate it in my own home! 😆

While this room didn't offer a sea view (it faced the road), the mattress was perfectly firm yet plush, ensuring I slept soundly and all my travel fatigue melted away!

The bedroom amenities were also well-stocked, including a Styler (garment steamer), hairdryer, and various phone chargers. Super convenient! 👍

The living room featured a long, comfy sofa, a TV, remote control, and a guest guide. The sofa was so plush, all I wanted to do was lounge on it!

The TV viewing angle was a bit awkward due to the sofa's placement, so we slightly rearranged the sofa for better viewing.

Netflix was available with personal accounts, and we even mirrored our Coupang Play (a Korean streaming service, similar to Hulu or Prime Video) to watch movies!

The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, with a large dining table and all the cooking utensils you could need. The variety of tableware was extensive, making it ideal for group gatherings without any shortages.

From basic cooking tools like a rice cooker, disposable gloves, kitchen towels, cutting boards, knives, and scissors, to pots, a microwave, and an electric kettle – everything was provided for a comfortable stay!

The refrigerator was massive, easily storing all our groceries, and the freezer compartment was spacious enough for frozen foods. What I particularly loved was the water purifier – no need to buy bottled water or bother boiling water with an electric kettle; instant hot water was readily available, which was incredibly convenient!

Since we were also looking for a Pohang pension with a private BBQ, this villa was a perfect match. We grilled some meat and enjoyed a delicious dinner! 😍

The bathroom was truly surprising! It was so incredibly spacious – I could almost sleep in there! Spotlessly clean and with marble-like finishes, it felt like being in a luxurious hotel bathroom. 💕

It had a bidet, and the water pressure was excellent, with both hot and cold water flowing perfectly.

With 7-8 towels, 2 shower towels, and ample shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, there was more than enough for multiple showers after swimming!

I searched far and wide for Pohang pool villas, and among them, On Pool Villa truly stands out for its amazing views, beautiful interiors, and reasonable price. 💕

A huge advantage was the beachfront location; it's not a typical public beach but a less accessible coastline, meaning fewer people and a much more private experience! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)
