Discover eco-luxury at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, Singapore. Explore vertical gardens, infinity pools, and local hotspots in our honest 2026 review.
An urban oasis in the heart of Singapore,
sharing my luxurious and eco-conscious experience at
the iconic PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering.
But first, a quick disclaimer: if you are looking for
a budget backpacker trip to Singapore,
this might not be the guide for you!
With its breathtaking vertical gardens, stunning infinity pool,
and beautifully designed eco-luxury rooms,
this hotel is guaranteed to make your Singapore adventure
truly unforgettable.
When choosing the perfect base in Singapore, keep these two things in mind:
1. Proximity to free, high-quality public attractions.
2. Integration of green, biophilic spaces (a hallmark of Singaporean design).
Singapore is notoriously expensive, so staying close to free sights
can save you a significant amount of money and travel time.
Additionally, Singapore mandates green integration for modern buildings.
Choosing a hotel that fully embraces this biophilic design policy
offers an immersive experience you simply can't find elsewhere.
Trying to do Singapore on a shoestring budget often misses the point.
While safe, convenient, and incredibly modern,
Singapore's high cost of living and premium tourist infrastructure
can feel restrictive for budget travelers.
Compared to neighboring countries like Thailand, Vietnam, or Malaysia,
your money won't stretch as far here.
Instead of cutting corners, focus on high-value luxury experiences.
If you want a hotel that delivers incredible value for your money,
PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering is an absolute masterpiece.
It is not cheap, but it is worth every single dollar.

Singapore takes its "City in a Garden" vision seriously,
and this hotel brings that vision to life perfectly.
The entire building is draped in stunning vertical gardens.
It feels like discovering a hidden sanctuary
right in the middle of a concrete jungle.
From the moment I hopped out of the taxi, I couldn't stop taking photos.
The undulating layers of greenery climbing up the glass facade
look like a scene from a futuristic eco-city.
It is a true architectural landmark in Singapore,
having won numerous awards for its sustainable design.
The lobby balances luxury and organic comfort seamlessly.
The moment you step inside, the warm lighting welcomes you.
The geometric wooden patterns, soft glowing lights,
and indoor vertical plant walls make you feel
as if you have just entered a high-end art gallery.
The room design immediately put me at ease with its warm,
inviting interior design.
Plush carpets, natural wood panels, and soft lighting
create an incredibly cozy and calming atmosphere.
The king-size bed was so incredibly plush and comfortable
that I wanted to dive straight in before even unpacking.
The bedside tables were neatly organized with a notepad, pen, and phone,
along with easily accessible power outlets for charging all my devices.
A large mirror opposite the bed reflects the natural light,
making the room feel exceptionally spacious.
Modern Convenience Meets Restful Sanctuary
I took some time to explore all the details of the room.
Massive floor-to-ceiling windows flooded the room with natural light,
making the entire space feel bright and airy.
The hotel actively promotes eco-friendly policies,
allowing guests to connect with nature right in the middle of the city.
Elegant aesthetics and thoughtful layouts define the bathroom.
The shower, finished with detailed mosaic tiles, has a modern vibe.
The sliding partition door separating the bedroom and bathroom
is highly unique and functional.
All bath amenities provided are sustainably sourced
and packaged to minimize environmental impact.
We headed up to the infinity pool located on the 5th floor.
While it may not be as massive as the Marina Bay Sands pool,
swimming here with Singapore's skyline right in front of you
is an incredibly intimate and beautiful experience.
The pool deck features colorful, birdcage-shaped cabanas
where you can lounge, read, or just soak in the sun.
Watching the city lights flicker on at dusk
from the warm waters of the pool was magical.
Right next to the pool, you will find a fully-equipped gym.
For fitness enthusiasts, working out while looking out over the pool
and the lush vertical gardens is highly motivating.

1. Chinatown
A vibrant neighborhood rich in history and Chinese heritage.
The streets are lined with traditional red lanterns and beautiful shophouses.
Don't miss the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, local souvenir shops,
and budget-friendly street food stalls.
2. Clarke Quay
Located along the Singapore River, this is the city's nightlife hub.
At night, the area comes alive with neon lights, bars, and restaurants.
It is the perfect spot to grab an outdoor table by the river,
enjoy a cold drink, and take in the cool evening breeze.
3. Satay Street @ Lau Pa Sat
The ultimate destination for traditional charcoal-grilled satay skewers.
Every evening, the street is closed to traffic, and stalls set up outdoor grills.
The smoky, juicy skewers dipped in rich peanut sauce are incredible,
providing an authentic taste of local street food culture.
This hotel boasts a design that perfectly embodies Singapore's policy of mandating green spaces. The entire building is adorned like a vertical garden, and its eco-friendly design has earned it several architectural awards.
This hotel is recommended for travelers seeking a hotel that offers good value for money (satisfaction-to-cost ratio) rather than strict budget travelers. Singapore itself is a destination with high prices, which can be a burden for travelers prioritizing their budget.
The lowest price for the PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering hotel on Trip.com is listed as ~$262. This price includes free cancellation and a best price guarantee benefit.
Near the hotel, you can find Chinatown, Clarke Quay, and Lau Pa Sat Satay Street. In Chinatown, you can experience traditional Chinese culture; in Clarke Quay, you can enjoy a lively entertainment district; and at Lau Pa Sat Satay Street, you can savor traditional Southeast Asian satay skewers.
