Join us for a birthday celebration at Park Roche Resort & Wellness in Jeongseon, South Korea. Experience luxurious suites, stunning pools, and a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
Late last September, we went on a 2-night, 3-day trip to Park Roche Resort & Wellness in Jeongseon~~~
Arrived at Park Roche Resort & Wellness in Jeongseon!!!
My friend once posted photos from Park Roche on Instagram, and it looked so amazing that I never forgot it. When I thought of it, I made a reservation in advance, and it was a fantastic trip~
Park Roche Lobby
Park Roche's signature: the lobby bonfire🔥
Even though it wasn't the end of the year, the Park Roche lobby had a wonderful festive, warm, and wintery feel!
We arrived a bit earlier than check-in time,
so we put our names down and started exploring Park Roche first~
Park Roche Atelier
The Atelier hosts pre-booked classes,
and when there are no classes, anyone can come in to color and decorate Park Roche postcards.
Park Roche Swimming Pool
It was late September, but thankfully, it was still open.
Just looking at it felt refreshing, and I loved how well the space blended with the surrounding natural scenery.
The Park Roche outdoor swimming pool is also known as the Outdoor Spa.
Cabanas are available for everyone to use for free!^^
Park Roche Jacuzzi
Outdoor Jacuzzi~~~
An outdoor jacuzzi where you can relax and warm up with Garwangsan Mountain views in the background!
There are 4 public jacuzzis and 3 private jacuzzis, and the photos you see here are of the public jacuzzis, open for everyone to use!
The private jacuzzis require a fee and advance reservations.
There are sunbeds too!
Since we went in late September,
there weren't many people at the pool, so we could enjoy the jacuzzis, sunbeds, and cabanas to our hearts' content~~~
Park Roche Garden & Glasshouse
The garden has several bonfires where you can enjoy "bulmeong" (staring at a bonfire),
and the building you see is the Glasshouse.
It's located at the end of the garden.
Inside the Glass House
This is where you can enjoy music through Meyer Sound speakers, the same kind installed in the world's top 3 concert halls! We only stayed for a little while before heading out.
Located next to the Glass House,
a healing space –
Park Roche as seen while lying down there, haha!
Park Roche truly had so many wonderful spots to relax and enjoy.
Wellness, indeed!
Park Roche Roche Cafe
Roche Cafe, one of Park Roche's delightful dining options.
Floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the clear sky + Gariwangsan Mountain + the swimming pool.
It's the essence of Jeongseon captured in a single glance!
With plenty of tables, it's a perfect spot to relax and enjoy without feeling rushed.
We actually didn't eat inside Roche Cafe; on Day 2, we picked up our food from there and enjoyed it outdoors!
This time, a ski resort view! ^^
The lush green and warm wood tones streaming through the windows.
This ambiance felt incredibly soothing and wonderful too.
Park Roche Indoor Pool
The indoor spa,
a truly picturesque swimming pool...
With hardly anyone around, it was the epitome of peaceful tranquility.
Thanks to the design that allows the outdoor nature to be reflected through the large windows,
every photo you take here just flows with beauty, no matter how casually you snap it.
As we were exploring, we even found a piano,
so we played together! 🎹
Jeongseon Hoedongjib
We stopped by Hoedongjib, a popular restaurant near Park Roche, while picking up a custom lettering cake we'd ordered in downtown Jeongseon!
There was even a wait...
We ordered Kotdeungchigi Noodles and Gamja Ongsimi (potato dumplings) (I think...?)
We even got Memil Jeonbyeong (buckwheat crepes), but it was so cold inside that we ate quickly and headed out.
Park Roche Wellness Program
Right after arriving at Park Roche, our next activity was...
Park Roche's signature Wellness Program!
These programs are offered free of charge to guests, with one session available in the morning and one in the afternoon.
On the day of check-in, you can only participate in the afternoon program.
Our session for that day was Calming Yoga🧘🏻♀️
Park Roche is truly a resort designed for healing and relaxation~
I made sure to attend the wellness programs, and they were absolutely satisfying.
The wellness programs include,
a diverse range of options like meditation, yoga, and therapy.
The morning and afternoon schedules vary each week, and you can always check the full schedule on their website. When I visited, reservations were made via phone, but as I was putting together this post, I checked the website again and it seems they've switched to online booking. It was sometimes hard to get through by phone, so this is a great improvement!
These programs take place at the Wellness Club on the 2nd floor,
with each class lasting 40 minutes.
These wellness programs are absolutely perfect for finding peace of mind and truly relaxing!!!
Park Roche Library
Right next to the Wellness Club, you'll find a beautiful library!
After our yoga session, we relaxed there for a bit before heading out.
It's a perfect spot to read a book you brought from home,
or dive into one of the many books available at the Park Roche Library!
Of course, we didn't actually read anything, hahaha!
It's a cozy space, perfect for spending some quiet time without getting bored.
Jungseon Park Roche Resort & Wellness 📚
Looks like the perfect spot to doze off while reading a book~~~
While walking around, I stumbled upon the GX Room.
Here are some of the small props used for the wellness programs.
The wellness programs for guests
are truly one of Park Roche's biggest strengths!
It was wonderful to see entire families participating in the wellness programs together.
Park Roche Fitness Center
Next up, the Wellness Club Fitness Center!
They have some really high-quality, impressive equipment here.
Please note: workout attire and shoes are not available for rent! You'll need to bring your own.
And, as expected, there was hardly anyone around, hahaha!
The peaceful solitude was absolutely wonderful, ahh!
My brother, working out in his Athlitoter gear 🤍🖤
You might think Park Roche doesn't have much to do... but trust me, we were incredibly busy, hahaha!
Back to the lobby—
It's truly the best, not crowded or noisy like hotels in Seoul.
Everything flows slowly,
Jeongseon Park Roche, where time just melts away~
Now, let's take a look inside our room!
Since we checked in early, we were assigned the highest floor, the 12th!
I'm not sure if it was thanks to booking early or checking in early, but either way, we got lucky!
The Gariwangsan Mountain View + Sukam King Suite + 12th Floor, our Park Roche room!
Allow me to introduce it to you all~~~
After a little debate between the Sukam Room and the Sukam Suite, we ultimately went with the Sukam Suite!
Having a sofa and table really made the space feel more expansive and comfortable, which we loved! ^^
It was perfectly spacious, relaxing, and absolutely ideal for our 2-night, 3-day stay as a couple~
Even now, looking back, I can confidently say we had such a rejuvenating break.
The open-plan layout, connecting the bedroom, living room, and mini-kitchen, definitely amplified the sense of space and freedom.
They say it's Park Roche's very own sleep-optimized bed,
and it was absolutely comfy! I slept like a baby zzzzz
A 55-inch TV and a Bluetooth speaker are also available,
so that's something great to keep in mind!
With a cozy relaxation sofa right in front of the panoramic window,
the use of space is truly maximized!
Draw back the curtains and behold~~~ Jeongseon's breathtaking mountain landscape unfolds before your eyes!
It's a view that I imagine would be stunning no matter the season.
And guess what? There's yet another window!,
a panoramic window in the bedroom and another in the living area—
It truly feels like you're on a magnificent escape right in the heart of the forest.
The stunning Gariwangsan Mountain view—
You can even make out the silhouettes of the ski slopes from here!
I saw so many people snapping photos while sitting right here, lolololol
Imagine how much more incredible it would be if it snowed!!!
While the Sukam Suite in autumn was absolutely superb! ^^
Next up, let's peek into the bathroom🛁
It features both a bathtub and a shower!
You'll find shower robes, hand towels, bath towels, and slippers,
along with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body lotion, so definitely keep that in mind when you're packing your bags! lolololol
What's more,
you'll also find a hairdryer, bamboo comb, bamboo toothbrush/toothpaste, cotton pads, cotton swabs, and facial tissues^^
In the mini-kitchen,
you'll find a tea ceremony set along with a special tea blend perfect for a restful night's sleep.
There's also bottled water and a coffee pot (electric kettle).
There's a mini-fridge, but it's not super cold.
And it's even equipped with a microwave, which is super handy!
Wine glasses, mugs 🥂
And even a wine opener!
Our 2-night, 3-day trip to Park Roche in Jeongseon,
this post covers up to the afternoon of Day 1 – and that's it for now!
Next, I'll be back with photos starting from the evening of Day 1, so stay tuned! Haha!
