After days of searching, I found Originn Space, a Taipei hotel with stunning aesthetics and a resident cat. Dive into its charming details and spacious comfort!
I spent days trying to find the perfect place to stay in Taipei, and I finally landed on this gem:
Originn Space

I stumbled upon this place in a magazine and immediately knew it was for me. The interior design completely captivated my taste, and the cherry on top? They have a resident cat! It was an instant favorite.
A standard double room here goes for around ~$138 per night.
Standard Double Room, Private Bathroom

Taipei hotel rooms can often feel a bit cramped, but this place was a breath of fresh air. With its high ceilings and generous space, it felt incredibly open and inviting. Even without a window, the tall ceilings prevented any feeling of claustrophobia.

From the moment I stepped into the room, I was enchanted by the details: the lush green sofa, warm wooden furniture, crisp white bedding, and the subtle, inviting scent of Jo Malone incense. It was love at first sight.

The bathroom was equally impressive, incredibly spacious and featuring an onsen-style stone bathtub. It was easily large enough for two people, perfect for a relaxing soak. They even provide bath bombs!
Every Detail, Perfectly Curated

It’s the thoughtful touches that truly make Originn Space special. As an international guest, I was delighted to find English books, extra sanitary pads discreetly placed in the bathroom, and even Jo Malone hair mist (Wood Sage & Sea Salt – my absolute favorite!💙).

It's clear that this isn't just a beautifully decorated space; every little detail has been carefully considered to enhance the guest experience. That's what truly sets this place apart.

Taiwan is renowned for its tea, and Originn Space embraces this heritage. Inside the room, you'll find a complete tea set along with clear instructions on how to brew the perfect cup.

Imagine this: putting on an LP record, brewing a fresh cup of Taiwanese tea, and just soaking in the atmosphere. It’s an incredibly chic and sophisticated way to unwind, making you feel undeniably cool!
Meet Opan, the Feline Mascot

During the day, Opan, the hotel's charming mascot cat, can often be found lounging and napping on the staircase. But once night falls, this furry friend takes on the important duty of patrolling the guest rooms! 😺

I heard a soft meow outside my door and opened it to find Opan gracefully sauntering into my room. So adorable!
Opan has a wonderfully chic demeanor – not overly shy, but also not overly affectionate. It’s that cool, independent attitude that makes this cat so captivating.

But here’s a funny secret: Opan snores! 😂 After its night patrol, it decided to stay in my room for a bit, and we even shared a short nap. However, the snoring was so loud I eventually had to gently usher Opan out. Sorry, buddy! 🙏

Originn Space Price Comparison

Here’s a quick price comparison for the Standard Double Room with a private bathroom across different booking platforms:
Agoda | MyRealTrip | Trip.com |
~$140 | ~$149 | ~$154 |
As you can see, for the exact same room and conditions, Agoda offers a saving of almost ~$14! That's enough for a few bowls of delicious Taiwanese beef noodle soup!
It's worth noting that double rooms with shared bathrooms are available for a lower price, starting around ~$110 per night.
Keep in mind that rooms with private bathrooms are limited and tend to book up much faster than other room types. So, if a private en-suite is a must-have for you, I highly recommend booking as early as possible!
