My recent independent trip to Da Lat!
While comparing itineraries and exploring various options,
this post is my heartfelt introduction to traveling in Vietnam!
Sometime this year, I really want to travel with my mom and dad in Vietnam.
Since Ho Chi Minh City, where I live, is more of a city destination,
I'm thinking of having them come to Nha Trang, Da Lat, or Da Nang-Hoi An,
and I might travel there to meet them.
So, I've been looking into Nha Trang - Da Lat tours on Klook,
Da Lat day tours, and even Vietnam package trips.
And guess what? I just found the perfect tour package and I'm seriously considering it!

Nha Trang offers sea views, luxurious hotel stays, and massages are a given,
and then you can head over for a day trip to Da Lat!

We even visited Da Lat Station.
I had to take a Grab from my accommodation,
and surprisingly, even though I was in Da Lat, I didn't get to fully explore the station.

And of course, we made a stop at the Da Lat Night Market!

The Da Lat Night Market gained even more fame after being featured on a popular Korean TV show.
There are so many vendors selling delicious street food on every staircase,
and you'll even find merchants charmingly trying to attract customers in Korean!

Known as 'Vietnamese pizza' and a true Da Lat specialty,
you absolutely have to try Banh Trang Nuong with a refreshing beer or another beverage.
I even saw it's included in some Nha Trang-Da Lat package deals,
which I thought was quite a cute touch (haha).

Da Lat enjoys spring-like and autumn-like weather all year round,
making it a cool, refreshing place with lots of unique fruits to discover.
If you happen to meet a fruit vendor like this,
I highly recommend trying the fruit called 'Salak'.
It looks as if it's covered in snake skin,
which is why it's also known as 'Snake fruit'.
It has a crunchy texture and a taste unlike any fruit you've ever tried!

Ho Chi Minh to Da Lat: The Cabin Sleeping Bus!
I actually traveled to Da Lat from Ho Chi Minh City,
taking a sleeping bus.
If Mom and Dad come to Da Lat, they could take this and meet up with me!
This is a full-day Da Lat tour that covers amazing spots like Lang Biang Mountain, Datanla Waterfall, the Crazy House, and more!
There are also Nha Trang - Da Lat package tours available!
On Ttaengcheori.com, you can find 3-night, 5-day Nha Trang - Da Lat package tours starting from the ~$207 range!
And on Naver Travel, I spotted an incredible 2-week special: a 3-night, 5-day Nha Trang - Da Lat package tour staying at 5-star hotels, with a NO-tip, NO-optional-tour policy, all for the affordable ~$345 range! Had to share this gem!
The travel dates are
September 7th (Mon) - September 11th (Fri).
And the most important thing... the price!!
Per adult: ~$378.
Can you believe it's even less than ~$380?!
For accommodation, you'll be staying at:
Hyatt Regency Nha Trang
Muong Thanh Holiday Hotel Da Lat (tentative)
These days, even if you manage to snag cheap round-trip flights to Vietnam, they still cost around ~$207-~$276, and just the 3 nights of hotel accommodation alone would add up significantly... It really seems like package tours are a much more budget-friendly option than planning everything yourself!
✔ Enjoy stays at 5-star hotels throughout your entire trip (please refer to the itinerary for specific hotel names).
✔ Indulge in a half-day of free time (with full access to hotel facilities!).
✔ Treat yourself to a 90-minute full-body massage experience (excluding children; gratuity separate).
✔ Capture your 'life shot' at Vietnam's iconic 'Heaven's Gate Cafe' (one complimentary drink per person!).
✔ Explore Nha Trang City on a guided tour, including highlights like Nha Trang Night Market, the ancient Po Nagar Cham Towers, the serene Long Son Pagoda, and the majestic Nha Trang Cathedral, among others.
✔ Discover Da Lat City's charm, with a Lang Biang tour, Datanla Waterfall, Da Lat Railway Station, Da Lat Night Market, and other fantastic sights.
✔ Experience a one-way cable car ride to Da Lat's beautiful Truc Lam Zen Monastery. ※ Note: If the Truc Lam cable car is unavailable due to maintenance, your itinerary will be wonderfully replaced with a visit to the Embroidery Museum.
✔ Enjoy a thrilling Jeep OR comfortable 7-seater vehicle tour of Lang Biang Mountain.
✔ Indulge in unlimited tropical fruit tasting!

It might be a bit tricky for those with a Monday-to-Friday office job to squeeze this in, but for freelancers, digital nomads, or even as an incredible gift for your parents, this trip looks absolutely perfect!
When it comes to booking package tours, you absolutely, unequivocally MUST choose the NO-tip, NO-optional-tour options!!!! You know the drill, right? If you just blindly book a cheap package tour, you might get dragged to those notorious shopping centers and feel trapped until someone finally makes a purchase – it's like a 'room of mental and temporal confinement' you can't escape! Trust me, those situations can really dampen your travel spirit.

I wonder if there are any similar amazing tours departing from Ho Chi Minh City? I'll definitely have to go scout those out too...
