This latest trip to Da Lat marks my second visit to this charming Vietnamese city. My first adventure there was in July 2025, and here I am again in 2026 – completely unplanned, but I found myself back exactly a year later!
During my initial visit, before I began blogging, I didn't bother seeking out the famous tourist spots. I simply wandered wherever my heart desired (and honestly, I didn't visit any of the typical must-see attractions!).
This time around, for my 2026 Da Lat adventure, I decided to do the opposite and explore all the popular spots everyone talks about.
While Da Lat boasts numerous attractions like the quirky Crazy House, the unique Clay Tunnel, the thrilling Datanla Waterfall, the historic old train station, and the vibrant night market, today's post is exclusively dedicated to its incredible cafe scene.
From the renowned Cong Caphe, a staple across Vietnam, to Da Lat's well-known La Viet Coffee, and even a hidden gem that stole my heart – let's dive into the best coffee experiences Da Lat has to offer.
Cong Caphe

As far as I know, there's only one Cong Caphe branch in Da Lat. While you'll find them all over Vietnam, each location has its own unique interior design, even if the overall vibe remains consistently cool and retro.
This particular branch offers a quintessential Vietnamese cafe vibe, with small, low chairs perfect for people-watching by the window. There's also a cozy sofa area (with a skylight above!), plus additional seating inside and upstairs on the second floor.
The menu is consistent across all Cong Caphe locations. You order at the counter, take a number, and they'll bring your drinks right to your table.
I ordered their famous Coconut Coffee and tried something different: the Sticky Rice Coconut Smoothie. Honestly, the smoothie was a miss for me; stick to the classic Coconut Coffee!
La Viet Coffee

Our second must-visit spot in Da Lat is La Viet Coffee. It's a pretty well-known establishment, selling not just delicious drinks but also their own coffee beans and even a selection of food.
And yes, everything is quite delicious here!
The interior feels like a converted warehouse, offering a wonderfully spacious atmosphere. Besides the main seating area, there's a separate shop section, and as you can see in the photos, tables extend quite far back. It's a great spot if you need to catch up on some work with your laptop; the ample space and relaxed vibe make it conducive, and you'll often see others doing the same. Despite being one of Da Lat's famous cafes, it's often not overly crowded, which is a huge plus!

My Personal Favorite
Now, if you just saw this picture, you might think, 'What is this?' (A friend actually said that when I showed them!). But this place is truly special. It feels like a hidden treasure that magically appears, almost like a fairy-tale forest. It's truly one of my personal favorites.

I personally love discovering these hidden spots during my Vietnam travels; there's something so rewarding about it.
Outside, you'll find seating like this, blending seamlessly with the lush surroundings.
And here's the counter inside. There are also tables to the left. While most customers seem to prefer the indoor seating, I always opt for a spot outside, enjoying the fresh air and greenery.
They even have cats wandering around, so you can play with them while you wait for your order. I don't recall seeing them on my last visit!
I went for their signature Egg Coffee. Unlike the rich, savory versions you might find in Hanoi, this one is distinctly sweeter. It's beautifully layered in three parts and includes chocolate, making it quite a sweet treat. I visited alone, quickly drank it, and then rushed off to meet my friends. Apparently, I had chocolate on my face, because they immediately started asking what delicious secret I had been keeping to myself!

So there you have it – my top picks for Da Lat's incredible cafe scene. I might have spent a little extra time gushing over my personal favorite, but can you blame me?

JERA Coffee's signature menu is Egg Coffee. Unlike Hanoi's egg coffee, it has a sweet taste, is divided into three layers, and contains chocolate.
