3. Tips & Things to Know Before Boarding the Fukuoka Ferry
Since it was our very first time traveling by ferry,
we quickly realized it's a completely different experience from flying.
Here are some essential tips and things to keep in mind, based on our firsthand experience of traveling to Fukuoka by ferry.
📌 Getting from Busan Station to Busan Port
If you're coming from another city, taking the train is highly recommended.
It's only about a 10-minute walk from Busan Station to the Busan Port Terminal!

Even though check-in started at 18:40,
we decided to play it safe and arrived at Busan Station about 3 hours early!
📌 Picking Up Food Delivery at Busan Port
Once you board, mobile data and Wi-Fi
will no longer be accessible.
So, the plan of action is basically just to eat, relax, and sleep! :)
Since we arrived at Busan Port early,
we ordered dinner in advance through a delivery app
and picked it up before boarding!
The pick-up spot is Gate 4 on the 2nd floor.
It seems to be an unspoken rule at Busan Port.

Keep in mind that most nearby restaurants
have a break time from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM,
so definitely plan around that!
Onboard, there's also a convenience store where you can buy snacks,
cup ramen, drinks, and more.

With our delivered dinner
and a few cold beers from the convenience store,
we wrapped up the very first night of our trip perfectly.
With stunning night views
and a relaxing bathhouse looking out over the open ocean,
our Fukuoka journey was filled with pure romance.
The New Camellia made it an unforgettable adventure! :)
