When planning a trip to the Mukho area of Donghae,
the biggest concerns are naturally
accommodation location, value for money, and ocean views, right?
This time, I visited
the **Mukho Donghae Beach Hotel**, located
roughly halfway between Mukho Port and Eodal Beach.
With floor-to-ceiling windows in every room offering **unobstructed ocean views and stunning sunrises**
you can enjoy right from your bed,
it's a **value-for-money ocean view accommodation that**
**was quite impressive, wouldn't you say?**
Even during peak season, you can book it
for around **~$48**, so
it's a fantastic value-for-money stay for a Donghae Mukho trip,
which is why I'm sharing my review!

Major Mukho attractions like Mukho Port, the Waterfront Park, Mukho Breakwater,
Jungang Market, and Eodal Beach
**are all gathered**
**within about a 5-minute drive.**
The locations aren't far apart,
so getting around by car was convenient,
and it was even pleasant to walk to the nearby Waterfront Park.
Best of all, it's located slightly away from the bustling downtown area,
which meant it was **quiet and peaceful at night – something**
**I really loved.**
I remember that if you planned your itinerary to explore the Mukho neighborhood thoroughly during the day,
and then come back to the accommodation for a quiet rest in the evening,
the flow of movement was perfectly smooth.
Room Interiors & Amenities
Rooms are broadly divided into **Standard, Family,**
**Suite, and Ondol** rooms.
If you're **traveling as a couple or with friends**
and looking for accommodation in Donghae Mukho,
the **basic Standard room** would likely be perfectly suitable.
The **Family room** is a
**spacious studio-style** layout with a sofa and bed,
perfect for relaxing and chatting with loved ones.
If **unwinding and soothing your body in a warm space**
**is a priority**, an **Ondol room** would be a great choice.

If you're a **family of 4 to 6 people** or
**planning to visit with several friends**, and
you need a bit more space,
you can opt for a **Suite**, which features
a separate living room and bedroom.
Inside the room, you'll find air conditioning, a refrigerator,
free Wi-Fi, a TV, a hairdryer,
towels, and basic toiletries –
most of the essential amenities were provided.
Since cooking is not allowed
inside Mukho Donghae Beach Hotel,
I recommend enjoying your meals at restaurants around Mukho Port
before heading back to the accommodation, or
buying some fresh sashimi and simple snacks in the evening
to enjoy with a cold beer!
While the building itself certainly shows its age,
the rooms and bedding were impeccably clean
and well-maintained!
Rather than the sleek vibe of a brand-new hotel,
think of it as a great value accommodation in Mukho
with an excellent location and stunning ocean views!
Ocean View & Sunrise Experience
What truly captured my heart about Donghae Beach Hotel
was the breathtaking ocean view stretching beyond the panoramic window.
Stepping into the room, you're immediately greeted by the sea,
allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the travel spirit,
even when you're just relaxing in your room.
In the mornings, there's no need to venture outside;
you can simply gaze at the sunrise painting the ocean, right from your room's panoramic window.
In the past, whenever I traveled, I'd always rub my sleepy eyes
and get dressed in the early morning just to catch the sunrise.
But this time, being able to comfortably witness the sunrise from my room
was incredibly satisfying, more than I expected!

Guests enjoy free parking!
While the parking lot is generally more spacious than other accommodations,
Donghae is incredibly popular in summer,
so during peak seasons or weekends when the hotel is fully booked,
spots might be limited.
If you're driving, it's a good idea to arrive a little early
to secure a spot and enjoy peace of mind.
Check-in is available from 4:00 PM,
and check-out is by 11:00 AM.

If you're looking for value-for-money accommodation in Mukho,
you're probably most curious about the prices.
Like most accommodations,
prices tend to vary depending on the date and day of the week.
For a standard room on weekdays (Monday-Thursday),
it's usually priced around ~$69 even during peak season,
and if you visit during the off-season or apply discounts,
prices can drop to the ~$48-~$62 range,
offering truly excellent value!
However, on Fridays, Saturdays,
or long weekends (when people might take extra vacation days around a public holiday),
rates can go up to the late ~$117s.
Therefore, I highly recommend checking the prices

perfect for exploring both Mukho Port and Eodal Beach, along with well-maintained, clean rooms,
and the unmistakable perk of East Sea ocean views and sunrises
that you can comfortably enjoy right from your bed.
I think this budget-friendly Mukho accommodation
would be a perfect fit for anyone looking to save a bit on lodging
and invest more of their budget into sightseeing and delicious food!
