The Olive Mukho Review 2026: Cozy Stay Near Mukho Station
Planning a car-free trip to Mukho? The Olive offers a super accessible, clean, and aesthetic guesthouse experience near Mukho Station and Doddaebigol Skywalk.
I recently embarked on a car-free adventure to Mukho, and let me tell you, finding the perfect accommodation without a vehicle can be quite the challenge!
I was specifically looking for a Mukho guesthouse that was both easily accessible and impeccably clean.
That's when I stumbled upon
The Olive guesthouse!
This is my honest review of this new, charming Mukho accommodation, perfect for those traveling without a car, offering both great accessibility and cleanliness.
Let's dive right in!
📍 The Olive
7 Sanjegol-gil, Donghae-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea
★ 15-minute walk from Mukho Train Station ★
★ 10-minute walk from Doddaebigol Haerang Skywalk ★
Mukho's main tourist attractions are broadly divided into two areas: near Mukho Train Station and the Doddaebigol area.
The Olive is ideally situated right in the middle,
making it a fantastic base for sightseeing.

There are two rooms available, Green Olive and Black Olive.
The room types are quite similar, and the prices are identical.
I stayed in the room on the left in the picture,
the Green Olive room.

The guesthouse exterior immediately gave off a lovely Santorini vibe,
which put me in a great mood upon arrival.
It's also a beautiful spot for taking photos!

Stepping inside, it was everything I imagined in an aesthetic guesthouse!
It's a cozy size, perfect for two people,
whether you're traveling with a friend or a partner.

The window offers a romantic view of Mukho Port.

I'm usually quite sensitive to sleep when I travel, but I slept like a baby at The Olive.
The bedding was clean and incredibly comfortable, and even though I believe there were guests next door, the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's rest.

There's a spacious table for two, perfect for enjoying takeout. We grabbed some local Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and drinks and savored them right in our room.
The guesthouse was so inviting, I almost felt like it was a waste to spend too much time outside!

The TV offers Netflix access, and you can also use Disney+ and TVING if you log in with your own account.
The refrigerator is generously sized, great for storing food, and I especially loved having a water dispenser, meaning no need to buy bottled water.

A two-burner induction cooktop, microwave, rice cooker, and even a toaster – everything you could possibly need is thoughtfully provided.

The sink area is also spacious and well-designed.
The beautiful glasses, in particular, added a touch of elegance and made enjoying drinks at the guesthouse feel extra special and stylish.

With plenty of clean dishes and utensils, it genuinely feels like a missed opportunity if you don't whip up a meal or two here!

And the bathroom is just gorgeous!
The design is so tasteful and modern.
Hot water flows perfectly, water pressure is excellent,
and there's even a bidet!

You'll find a hair dryer, plenty of towels, and ample toilet paper.
They even provide sanitary pads, which shows incredible attention to detail from the owner – truly touching!
*Note: You'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste!*
★ For those seeking a well-located Mukho guesthouse
★ Perfect for a trip with your partner or friends
★ If you're looking for an aesthetic and charming stay
★ For travelers who value cleanliness and tidiness
I wholeheartedly recommend The Olive in Mukho!
