MUJI Thao Dien Sale: Best Deals at Vincom Mega Mall

The Thao Dien Vincom Mega Mall right in front of my place.

I often drop by the MUJI on the 2nd floor,

and even though the official sale season is over,

I heard you can still score some cheap tableware in the clearance zone.

So I made a quick trip there this afternoon!

As a temporary resident living here for just a year, "Housewife Ryu" couldn't bring herself to buy

these various discounted MUJI goodies...

If you're living in Ho Chi Minh City long-term,

definitely head over to MUJI and get your shop on!

Just sharing some useful tips!

MUJI Cold Tea Infuser Pitcher

99,000 VND (about ~$4)

I really wanted to buy it, but since it's all plastic...

Both the pitcher itself and the tea strainer inside are plastic,

and I try to avoid buying plastic.

This is the bottle holder that was

constantly sold out back in Korea!

89,000 VND (~$3)

With its stainless steel interior,

you can pop your water bottle or beer inside

and carry it around while keeping it perfectly chilled.

Since I already carry a tumbler,

I totally don't need it, but I still want it (haha).

MUJI Ceramic Coffee Dripper

199,000 VND (about ~$8)

MUJI Teapot

99,000 VND (about ~$4)

It doesn't come with a separate tea infuser inside.

This was the exact bowl I went to buy!!!

Only 79,000 VND (~$3)!

I peeled off the sticker to check the original price:

299,900 VND (~$11)

Tell me I'm not the only one who peels these off out of curiosity, lol.

I thought it would be absolutely perfect for pasta or salad,

so I debated buying it for ages.

But since I can't pack it all up to take back to Korea,

I gave up, telling myself to just use the dishes I already have at home.

This round plate is 39,000 VND (~$1)

Yong-bam got me a tea infuser as a gift before,

but I actually wanted something with a finer mesh...

Even though this is technically a soup stock strainer, I think it would work great for brewing tea.

The price is 129,000 VND (about ~$5)

I thought about picking one up, but I should sleep on it first.

I'm always so weak for stainless steel kitchenware...

But since I can't accumulate more luggage in my Ho Chi Minh home,

I'm just window shopping today and leaving empty-handed... *scurries away*

Seriously giving myself a pat on the back for not buying any dishes today...

MUJI Eco Bag

It's not on sale, but the price is super reasonable,

and it has such a lovely, distinct Vietnamese vibe!

Since I already own way too many tote bags,

and made a rule not to buy any more,

I just admired it and walked away.

But then I remembered Su-jeong, who is currently deep into meditation, and sent her a photo.

She asked me to grab one for her! So if it's still there next time I visit,

I'll have to pick up that green lotus bag for her.

They had a sale on bedding too,

and the duvet covers were so cute, I was seriously tempted to buy one...

The soybean series wasn't really my style,

but the seersucker collection had so many pretty options.

Queen size was 699,000 VND (around ~$27)

Sigh... even on sale, MUJI is still pretty pricey~

Pajamas were on sale too!

They also had bras, camisoles, and cardigans,

plus basic MUJI boy shorts underwear,

but they only had size S left, so I had to pass ^^

Lounge sets and pajama sets were discounted to 399,000 VND.

The pajama sets are originally 799,000 VND.

Little pouches and packing organizers for sorting your things were also on sale!

Even long umbrellas were 399,000 VND

(around ~$15).

Right next to the socks section, they had a massive sale on ankle socks!

There were also things like cardigans and camisoles.

There was a separate section for other discounted women's clothing,

plus sandals and sneakers on sale too.

These sandals looked so comfy!

Found in almost every MUJI store you visit:

the paid embroidery service zone!

Towels are at a "new price" too!

Basic short-sleeve t-shirts were also just 299,000 VND each.

They have a great selection of men's clothing too!

Even men's underwear, originally priced at 169,000 VND...

When I checked out the 'New Price' zone right next to it,

they were selling underwear and lounge pajama sets at super discounted prices.

If you find something you like in your size,

it's an absolute steal! Major jackpot at MUJI~
