Mojo Spa Ho Chi Minh Review: Best Thao Dien Massage

After spending about ten days exploring the vibrant streets of Vietnam, my body was practically begging for a relaxing massage. I booked a quick 10-minute Grab ride from my accommodation to visit Mojo Spa, located in the trendy expat enclave of Thao Dien, District 2.

This place came highly recommended by local expat friends who swear by its incredible value and top-notch service!

MOJO Spa & Foot Massage

Since it was our first time here, we opted for the 35-minute foot massage course.

It costs 160,000 VND per person (which is just about ~$6!).

Compared to other popular spots nearby like Mandarin or Miu Miu Spa, Mojo Spa is incredibly budget-friendly. At those places, a basic 30-minute foot massage usually starts around 200,000 VND (about ~$7).

They also offer a 10% discount if you bring friends or family, and they have membership options if you plan to visit regularly.

Membership registrations are available at the counter.

We booked our spot ahead of time using Zalo (Vietnam's go-to messaging app). After checking in at the front desk, we sat down in the cozy lobby where they served us fragrant tea and some local snacks.

The snack spread featured crispy dried coconut and pickled plums tossed in a spicy, salty chili seasoning. I expected just a standard sweet dried fruit, but this was a complete flavor revelation! It was sweet, sour, and spicy all at once—absolutely delicious.

The jasmine tea was incredibly fragrant and refreshing as well.

We were called in for our massage when we had only finished about half of our tea. I was a bit sad to leave my snacks behind, but the staff was so thoughtful—when we returned after our session, they had cleared the old cups and served us a brand-new, fresh batch of hot tea and snacks!

Once you step past the lobby doors, the atmosphere shifts completely. You are welcomed into a dimly lit, serene space filled with a soothing herbal aroma.

The layout is split into two sections: the first floor is dedicated to full-body massages on flat beds, while the second floor features comfortable reclining chairs specifically for foot treatments.

They placed a warm, soothing eye mask over my eyes and draped a cozy blanket over me. I fully intended to drift off to sleep, but the massage therapist's technique was so deep and stimulating that I stayed wide awake! It felt amazing.

The session was highly thorough, covering everything from my feet up to my calves and joints.

After the 35-minute session, we headed back to the lobby to find another round of fresh tea and snacks waiting for us.

Keep in mind that like many local spas in Vietnam, Mojo Spa is cash-only. We paid 320,000 VND (about ~$12) total for both of us before heading out to grab some lunch.

If you are in District 2 (Thao Dien) and looking for an amazing, budget-friendly spa experience with a great atmosphere, I highly recommend Mojo Spa. Next time, I'm definitely booking a 75-minute or 90-minute session!
